Review: I purchased a [redacted] racing transmission product that required a automotive shop to install the unit to keep the warranty. I paid B&T Motorsports in the amount of $400 cash and received there receipt.

After I looked over the vehicle the best I could before leaving the shop (vehicle was not on a lift ). When driving home I noticed the shifter felt loose. After closer observation and trouble shooting myself I discovered the shop jacked the transmission up too far in the transmission tunnel during the install damaging the shifter mounts and floorboard sounding the shifter. This was the first issue I found but not the turning point for a refund. I did complain to the shop and they said they would fix it but at this point my trust was lost in there ability. This mistake is only made when your are rushing to install a transmission.

I have installed many transmission in the vehicle myself and am fully capable of installing the unit myself. I was only paying a shop to honor the warranty. [redacted] transmission requested that a performance shop install the transmission to keep the warranty.

The final turning point for a refund was a mistake that is inexcusable. In the tail shaft of the transmission there is a hole for speedometer cable. The transmission is shipped with a plastic plug in that location only intended for shipping. When in operation transmission fluid is pumped through to this location. The shop did not replace the plug with a required plug intended for street use. I discovered this when fluid started to pore out in my friends driveway ( A witness I do have ).

So why is this so dangerous? I take this vehicle to the 1/8 dragstrip is that plug would of come out while racing it would of sent fluid to the rear tires and wrecked the vehicle causing injury or possible death to myself or others. This is why I am so incredibly upset. Its a mistake that can't be taken with a grain of salt if he does not accept what his actions can cause then he should not be in business.

I have pictures of everything that I have talk about and others that can account for my claims.Desired Settlement: I asked for a complete refund and it was turned down. I will settle for $200.00 back and a written apology. like I said this careless action from B&T Motorsports can kill somebody in the future.
