I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I'm afraid I have to reject this response for several reasons: - First, during our last call, Mr. [redacted] said he's "on it" and that he or the windows guy would get back to me.  Then he stopped returning calls or emails.  Why didn't he just tell me himself then? - Secondly, the entire project is under warranty, and while Mr. [redacted] may debate the validity of my claim, he cannot just ignore it.  I was told there's a warranty (up to 10 years on some aspects) and that even outside the warranty to call if something came up here or there.  What if I ran into another warranty issue? - Thirdly, during the project the windows guys initially delivered the wrong windows and had to redo them.  Am I suggesting he cut corners?  No, but I am saying the windows supplier was less than professional and Mr. [redacted] himself expressed frustration about this windows supplier on several occasions. - Finally, I was actually told the city required the backyard-facing windows to be safety glass (and therefore pricier).  I even recall expressing how I'd like to install safety glass anyhow because the rationale made sense.   It may be that the city didn't actually require safety glass after all, but that information wasn't conveyed to me, and I didn't make it a habit to second guess Mr. [redacted] anyhow.   I generally found Mr. [redacted] upfront and pleasant to deal with, so I chalk this up to miscommunication.  Also, I'm am interested in anything I'm not entitled to and if I'm mistaken I'll drop the whole thing.  In the meantime, I'm asking that Mr. [redacted] address it properly rather than ignore it.  Best Regards,[redacted]

Review: I contracted B Ann builders to build an extension in my house, which was generally done well. The problem is with the window glass installed. About a year ago one of the windows facing the backyard was hit by a ball and broke. I was disappointed to see the outside pane (inside one didn't break) broke into large dagger like pieces. In addition to obvious safety concern (what about the rest of the windows?), I was told code required that I installed the more expensive safety glass, which makes perfect sense, and I thought that's what was installed until this incident.

I called the contractor and after some phone tag he sent his window guy who took measurements and left promising to be back within 2 weeks to fix. I told him I expected all the windows to be brought into compliance since they probably weren't. The windows guy never came back. I called the contractor many times and when he finally returned my call he promised the windows guy would contact me to take care of it. He didn't and it's been radio silence ever since. I must've tried contacting the contractor at his various numbers 20 times, but he never called back.Desired Settlement: I want for the glass to be replaced with code compliant glass and in a timely manner. I expect the expense to be borne by the responsible party (that's between contractor and subcontractor I suppose) on the grounds that I was sold the safety glass being told that this is required by city. I just want this situation to be made right.
