Response:

I, [redacted], from B & B Auto Brokers, Inc. have not recently spoke to [redacted] as she states. Someone called me on her behalf but I could not discuss a contract that he was not a party to. Attached is invoice regarding the repairs Ms. [redacted] said was needed on the vehicle. We agreed to reduce the price she was paying for the car by 50% of the invoice and place the payments she was in arrears to the end of the loan. Apparently, she decided not to do the repairs. All vehicles are sold As-Is. The customer is encouraged to have the vehicle checked independently. If Ms. [redacted] returns the vehicle to us and pays her past due balance, we will place her in another vehicle. She is currently past due $542.75.

I am rejecting this response because: I have already lost to much money dealing with this car issue. Safety and a reliable car is a major concern, that car and other that is sold from lot should not be sold. I have had to get a loan to make other arraingements for transportation.

Regards,

Review: We bought the car as-is 6/10, in good faith. 7/9 my car won't start at all. We found then that the fuel injector bar was NOT CONNECTED to the motor! It was simply sitting on it which explained why every time I hit a bump in the road all the lights and bells would go crazy! Because it was shooting gas outside of the motor when the bar would bounce off and the valves we outside of the motor. We pressed it down onto the motor so I could start the car and go make my payment that day. When I got there, I asked them to bolt it in as it should have always been and was told they wouldn't repair it. Their mechanic put zip ties on it, however, to sort of hold it in, I think he felt bad for them doing me that way and I had my kids with me. By then, since it had been mis-firing so badly, the rods started knocking real bad and their mechanic told me it could blow up with the fuel bouncing out like that. He said they get their cars from auctions and don't do anything to them. So I could have lost my life and my kids lives in that contraption at any given time! It needs a new motor, I told the owner that and he laughed in my face and told me "that's not my problem" ! I asked for my money back and he laughed even harder. They sure took my payment that day though! Also, they had lost my title and never gave me my tags I paid for and they expired the next day. But he did refund that small portion to me because I told him to come and get the car back! I can't drive it. I had it 29 days.

I, Chris Brack, from B & B Auto Brokers, Inc. am responding regarding the above mentioned vehicle. She signed documents stating that she should be responsible for any repairs if needed. She made complaints regarding the vehicle & was told that we would not do any repairs as it would be viewed as an implied warranty. All customers are suggested and allowed to take vehicles to an independent mechanic prior to purchase. All cars sold by B & B Auto Brokers have current NC inspections & are sold As-Is. She refused to sign the title for transfer & said she did not want the vehicle. We did a voluntary repossession giving her a check for $176.75 as a refund for her tax, tag transfer. We drove her car back to our dealership & found it to be in sound running condition. In the event she wishes to redeem her vehicle, she may do so upon receipt of $510 by 7/23/13.

Payments required $195.00 (3 payments)

Late fees 3.25

Repossession fee 135.00

Tax & tag fee 176.75
