Dear Mr***, The sun roof was never inspected during the 3/14/18-3/16/repair visit considering that we don't have the means to repair it if it were damaged or leakingWe are sorry if there was a miscommunication regarding where the truck was parkedAll overnight vehicles are kept inside the
shop and are parked in our parking lot or on the street the following business dayWe have video surveillance of the truck being moved from the garage on Friday at 7:56am and parked on the street in front of our shopWhen the vehicle was picked up at 11:00am Friday, it was raining most of the morningIf the sunroof glass were missing that morning, the interior of the vehicle would have been wet when the customer came to pick up the vehicleWhen the customer returned to the shop to ask about the sun roof, we inspected it and saw the metal framing was very rustedIt's possible the glass was previously loosened and had fallen off on its own, once on the highwayWe perform our road test drives local in town and do not enter the highway unless we are confirming a customers concern, therefore we didn't hear any noise on our test drivesAfter reaching out to the customer's wife, there were a couple of theories that came to mind about how the glass was removed, but based on our video surveillance records we believe the glass had fallen off on it's own3/14/Wednesday night: parked in garage all night on rack with wheels off3/15/Thursday: parked in the garage until 1:21pmAfter test drive, was parked in parking spot closest to office door all day and brought vehicle into shop at closing time3/16/Friday: pulled vehicle out of garage at 7:56am and parked on street in front of shop until 10:00am (customers pick up time) Please give us a call if you'd like to view our video surveillanceWe have never had an incident regarding lost/stolen items from customer’s cars during a repair visit and we are very sorry to hear about the loss of the sun roof glassWe feel we are not responsible for the replacement of the sun roof glass, but are willing to contact auto body shops in the area for estimates regarding the repairAcquiring estimates can be a tiring process and can take time away from your daily schedule; therefore we can call to inquire on repair estimates for youYou have been long time customers of ours and we hope we can come to a resolutionThank you, *** *** B & B Foreign Car Repair
