B & B Motorsports Reviews (2)

Review: I was billed for things that never took place. I was over charged for services that did not occur. This company was not called by myself or law enforcement, he came upon the scene of the accident a started providing his services without my permission. When asked to deliver my vehicle to my residence he red and stated "I need to take this vehicle back to my shop for insurance purposes." when asked if we could pick my vehicle up the following day, he said "no I'm closed on some." although his business card that has driver gave us stated that they provide 24 hour services. When I called to get the price of services to quote was over three times higher than other local towing business's. The idea bill listed services that were not applicable.Desired Settlement: I got 2 different quotes from 2 different businesses that both stated the cost wold have been $150.00 and that if we desired to have our vehicle towed to our residence that they would have done it instead of denying like b&be motor sports did. I was treated horrible and would like a full refund.

To who it may concern;

RE: Complaint Number [redacted]

On 3/23/2013 our company was summoned to a MVA rollover that occurred at approx 9pm. Our driver was responding to another Recovery call and came upon a rollover. Per State and Federal regulations we were unable to leave the scene of an accident. We called Vermont State Police to be dispatch along with Fire and EMS. Our driver checked the truck for personnel but no one seen. VSP arrived and we were asked to roll the truck over so they could check no one was under vehicle. VSP had us recover the vehicle, property remediation and we towed back to our shop.

The register owner of this vehicle is not who has filed this compliant but the girl friend that was driving. We have enclosed the vehicle registration and Insurance informartion proving that this person technically had no right to be involved with case.

The RO asked if we could drop truck off at his house do to liability insurance only. The owner of our business advised that we will bill the insurance under property damage liability proved on their insurance and company policy is vehicles go back to shop until payment is given. Our Company policy is also no Recovery invoices are made on the side of the road until all service tickets are turned in.

Monday morning at 8am this girlfriend called and said she wanted to pick up vehicle. Owner of shop advised we have not heard from insurance company and that they were barley open. Also truck was heavily damaged and not drivable.

A few hours later VSP sergeant called from barracks and said she was there complaining that we would not release vehicle. We advised no she can take it but must pay the recovery bill. We advised we were submitting it under her boyfriends insurance so there would be no out of pocket cost to them. VSP stated she would be down to pay cash for it.

A little while later she called and asked for amount. We advised of amount and she was not paying the fees. Again VSP called back and stated he was a friend of hers and the families. The bill he thought was too high for a tow. We advised this was a recovery and not just a standard tow. He thought 50.00-150.00 would have been more than enough. He then threatened to have us removed from the tow rotation. We advised VSP and customer these are our set rates, no made up off the wall rates.

Owner of Shop sailed VSP barracks and spoke with Lt, In Charge of barracks. He advised of situation and statements made here. Lt advised the Trooper that was a friend should not have made these calls or statements here. He stated there has never been a complaint against us. We listed line for line of the bill and asked if he thought this was gouging. He stated no. We are able to justify each and ever items, and are well within the Federal standard of the towing industry. In Vermont there are no set posted rates.

Girlfriend came down to the shop and asked to see bill in person. We showed here the bill. Girlfriend was very unpleasant as she has been this time. Owner of shop agreed to remove 1-day vehicle storage, enroute mileage, garbage bags and 75.00 of the recovery portion to try and accommodate her.

She paid for reduced bill and stated she will not recommend us to anyone and Contact the Revdex.com. Owner of shop stated she have to have vehicle towed or trailed out due to severity of damage. She advised she was driving it away and the cops are all her friends and would give her no trouble.

We have also enclosed a copy of recovery bill, vehicle registration and insurance card. Any other concerns feel free to contact us at above location.

Respectfully Submitted,
