B & B Towing & Transport Reviews (1)
During a vehicle tow, excessive damage was a result of employer negligence. My name is [redacted] and I live in Raleigh, NC. This past weekend (February 16th actually) I went up to Virginia to purchase a vehicle. That night I got snowed in and had to stay in a motel overnight. The next morning the roads were looking better so I decided to head back for Raleigh. Once I hit Knightdale, the front left tire of the vehicle I had just purchased came off the rotor as a result of the studs breaking off. There was minimal dents to the driver side fender as a result and no other damage to the body. Obviously, the police arrived and issued a wrecker to come pick me up and take my car to the nearest shop. [redacted] of B&B Towing in Knightdale, NC arrived shortly after to pick up my vehicle. When he arrived, the police instructed him to pick up my vehicle and take it to a shop of his discretion. [redacted] then pulled up in front of my vehicle and immediately put it in reverse and backed straight into my vehicle with his tow bars. As a result, the bumper cracked apart and both fenders warped. This also pushed the car way back more into the way of traffic. Mr. [redacted] then got out of his wrecker, told me to put my parking brake on and then slowly picked up my vehicle. Due to his neglecting to assess the problem with the vehicle, inspect what had happened, and forgetting to apply the parking brake my car now has quite a bit of body damage. I have a picture of after the incident of the tire coming off, yet before he arrived and backed into my vehicle as proof that additional damage was done. When I presented this photograph to [redacted] and pointed out that I had watched him damage my bumper and fenders, he simply denied that he did it. I showed the officers and they weren't helpful, as they claimed it was between him and I. Due to his negligence, [redacted] applied much more damage to the car than was necessary to remove the car from the roadways and doesn't want to admit he did it.Desired SettlementThe damages he did to my car be replaced at no expenses to me. Business Response The business owner Mr. [redacted] called and said that he did not damage the consumer's car. The damage occurred when the consumer's wheel came off of his car. The business was called by the Highway Patrol to remove the car out of the road.
