B & C Auto Care & Tire Center Reviews (1)

We have attempted twice to collect a refund with no success.
On 11/9/2012 my husband, [redacted], brought his [redacted] truck to B&C Auto Care to fix the steering gear box (Front End). The steering hydro booster was what needed to be fixed along with the front end. Also the gas gauge wasn’t working so [redacted] at B&C Auto Care replaced the sensor unit in the tank. That visit cost us $1,200.00. That next day when [redacted] was on his way home (3hr drive), the truck (that just got repaired at B&C) broke down on the side of I-5N while it was pulling a horse trailer with a horse in it. The total cost to tow truck/trailer home was $882. On 12/10/12 we finally had enough money to get the truck repaired (caused by B&C) by our local mechanic, Elite Automotive. The truck is the primary Ranch vehicle and when it is down, we do not make money. So that repair cost us $2,451.02 (Elite Automotive). Elite gave us the part to give back to B&C for warranty/refund from O’Reilly Auto Parts. Elite discovered that the breakdown of the truck was caused by the negligent installation of the sensor unit, which required a converter kit, yet was installed without one either due to negligence or ignorance. I spoke to [redacted] (Territory Sales Manager @ O’Reilly Auto Parts), because we couldn’t seem to get an answer on getting our money back from [redacted]. Turns out, [redacted] (B&C Auto Care) was credited $374.34 to their O'Reilly account for the part (which he did admit to receiving from O’Reilly, but never paid us) and B&C received and cashed a check for $513.00 from O’Reilly (which was a customer satisfaction gesture, because of how much trouble it caused), which [redacted] would not admit to receiving. Including the initial $1,200.00 we paid B&C and the towing, this whole ordeal has set us back $4,533.02. I faxed a demand letter on 11/11/2013 for payment for $887.34 ($374.34 credit and $513 check from O’Reilly), which I never received payment. I then sent the demand letter again, along with other documents through certified mail with return receipt on 12/17/2013. I received the return receipt so I know they received it, but once again, no payment. I am now filing a complaint with Revdex.com in order to give them one last chance to pay us the $887.34 (our refund from O’Reilly), before I take them to Small Claims Court for the entire $4,533.02.
All I want is what is owed to us. I know I am most likely not the only customer that this has happened to at B&C Auto Care. So not only do I need my money from them as soon as possible, but I do not want this to happen to another customer, which is why I have taken all these steps. How can a business be ok with keeping money from customers, which is not even theirs? As well as run a business like they have, without getting in trouble? I am glad B&C became an accredited business with Revdex.com on 11/22/2013, so now they can be monitored and can have a rating that is accurate so other customers can be warned. Nowadays most businesses rely on good customer satisfaction, but apparently B&C does not.
