B City Nails Reviews (3)

Review: I gave my daughter money to go get a pedicure and get acrylic nails. They told her it would be $25 for each service. She ended up paying $70 for the whole thing instead of $50. They charged her $5 for each extra nail to polish and did not tell her adhead of time. Then when I called, she was rude, said she can get them redone for another $10! She said my daughter should have asked about nail polish. She did ask how much and the girl told her $25, nothing about extras. They should tell you it's going to be more if they offer the service. The girl that did it couldn't even speak English, and couldn't do a good job at all. We were so upset and she could do nothing but offer to charge us more money to fix their mistake and be rude.Desired Settlement: Refund of at least the extra $20. And a reprimand about charging people more without telling them.

Review: On 11/3/12 Had artificial nails done at B City Nails. I requested gel nails which they said they would use however they used a powder and a liquid and applied it exactly the same as acrylic. I went through the process and showed the guy tech what design I wanted as far as a design. He nodded his head and said they could do that. Do note he was quite rushed. By the time I was done I had extremly thick unnatural looking nails.(this started at 1200 and ended about 1345) By 1600 that night my fingers had become quite swollen, red, I could barley bend then at the first knuckle and I was in quite a bit of pain. I found a local nail salon (i was in [redacted] for work. I had my nails done on my lunch break) and went in so they could look at them and see what was going on. They had to almost completly redo what was done. They had to file down each nailon the sides because they were too wide and unnaturl and on the top as they were so thick. They said that is what was causing the pain, redness and being swollen. My fingers started feeling better immediatly after they filed them down and I was able to bend them again. I exaplined to them they had used a powder but claimed they used a Gel nail. This salon stated there was no such thing as a "powder" that was gel. I went back to B City Nails to complain and demanding they remburse me the extra costs I had to pay to correct what they had done to me. They refused stating that I should have come back to them to have it fixed. I explained I was away on buisness and was in extreme pain and that even if I was in town, after they butchered me I didnt want them to touch me. She stated she remembered me from the day befpre but refused any refund repeating I should have come back to them. I told her I also wanted my money back for the nail polish fee they charged since she painted snowflakes on me as though she was in kindergarden. The nail design was nothing like what I requested or showed in the picture at all.Desired Settlement: I would like the $25.00 I had to spend correcting their overly thick nails that were causing me extreme pain back as well as the portion they charged for the nail polish since they didnt give me anywhere near to what I wanted for a design and simply rushed through it. I paid $38.00 for my nails to be done at B City Nails I want $10.00 in addition since they charged me for the nail polish but didnt give me what I asked for and rushed me out after already poor service. I want a total of $35.00

Business

Response:

it is the client's fault she either never have nail done or quit for a

while and have them done again that's why she felt pain , normally it

takes a couple days for the nails getting used to it, that's why she

felt better the next day in [redacted].

We will make corrections for her but it's our policy not to refunds, we

didn't sell her a product we provided a service for her. The other nails

salon told her what she wants to hear and they want her business that's

why they have to put us down at all cost , that's low but it's OK .

We

have built a lot of happy clienteles, we know what we did is far more

excellent than a lot of competitions. She was happy when she left and she felt better the next day because her

nails get used to it if she wants to complain she should comeback to us

we are more than happy to make he satisfied. There are always going to

be 'clients' that want to take advantage and demand refunds for their

own mistakes.

Thanks

Management.
