B & D Contracting

This letter is in regards to [redacted] complaint [redacted] the contract with gary for were measured and ready to be ordered when he decided to change the original contract by asking for wood grain on both sides when the contract said one side he also wanted this at no cost, this slowed down the order, the order was already a custom order due to the off standard sizeshe became impatient and at times throughout are several visits he became violent, my measure man said he wanted nothing to do with this man, the order was then put on hold do to this behaviorwe are trying to work things out but have time and money on the process, so now this contract is in litigation , I would be glad to give you more information if necessary , please let me know

I [redacted] & my wife [redacted] , are seniors, age years old wife, and years old husbandWe have lived in our home for over years We have lived in our home for over yearsWe have always kept our home up to standards, due to poor neighborhood conditionsOn Feb1, we received a phone call from MrBill D [redacted] of B & D Contracting CoPersonally we don’t know him or his companyHe stated that he was doing home improvements in the area, and if we need any work done he could help us with thatNote: we needed doors for the homeThe statement that MrBill D [redacted] sent to the Revdex.com is not true at allNote: (the contract with Gary for were measured), we do not understandThe first written contract was just a rough draft, according to MrBill D [redacted] Mr Bill D [redacted] than asked for a down paymentWe gave him a written check # [redacted] for $Note: we don’t have $3,let alone $6,to give to anyoneMrBill D [redacted] suggested two sources to finance this job# [redacted] credit union, # [redacted] bankOur loan was approved through [redacted] for $6,due to our good credit ratingOn Feb2, MrBill D [redacted] than with a 2nd or re-written contract more suitable to what we wantedNote: It stated storm doors metal, top w/screen& storm glassEntry doors front & back, metal, fiberglass w/wood grain finish on both side, also back door trim replaced All rotten wood removed & replacedNote: Foyer area in front of the front doorAll this work & material total $6,MrBill D [redacted] stated that he needed ½ half of the moneys up front in the sum of $3,more for door and materials in order to start this jobOn February 04, we went to the bank, and purchased a certified check for $3,to the B & D Contracting CoI gave this check to MrBill D [redacted] Note: no violent behavior, as seniors we trusted MrBill D [redacted] , to do this jobOn Feb11, MrBill D [redacted] returned to our home with his partner, MrRichard H [redacted] MrBill D [redacted] stated that his partner, MrRichard H [redacted] would be finishing up the rest of this job, and to keep in contact with MrRichard H [redacted] MrBill D [redacted] also wanted us to write another check in his name, Bill D [redacted] instead of the companies nameHe said that the certified check of $3,that we gave him would not help him do this job, because he and his wife were going through a divorce, and she would claim half of this moneyNote: we trusted MrBill D [redacted] once againNote: Still no doors had been orderedThe doors were a custom made door jobWhile MrBill D [redacted] waited, me & my wife returned to the [redacted] Bank with the certified check, cashed it for cash and gave MrBill D [redacted] $3,cashNote: we still trusted MrBill D [redacted] Note: No violent behavior accuredThis was the last time we saw or heard from MrBill D [redacted] We wanted to talk to him, about the day time line on the 2nd written contract, his partner stated not to worry about the time lineThe end of February was getting closerWe were concernMrRichard [redacted] took me through a turn of events like you would not believeWe tried to called MrBill D [redacted] , his phone was always full and he would not return any callsFebruary was coming to an endMrRichard H [redacted] than told me that the B & D Contracting Cowas not going to do this job, they were going to just take our moneyHe hinted toward that statement during the turn of eventsThe first week of March we decided to contact the Revdex.com & the Attorney Generals officeNote: no custom doors has been ordered, and no work has been doneWe just want our money returned to us $3,MrBill D [redacted] now has contacted us asking for more weeks to do this jobWe told him noHe also stated that he has fired MrRichard [redacted] Note: This is where the violent behavior may have accuredNote: I [redacted] , we are senior citizens, living in peaceWe are to old to fight and argue with anyone or anythingWe have health issues such as diabetes, and others, but we still have ours minesWe trusted MrBill D [redacted] and he took advantage of us.Thank you Revdex.com for trying to help us

This business has an A+ rating with the Revdex.com I think most customers would expect they do an excellent job based on that rating I believe they should have only a B- or C rating My job was delayed the first time by days and then the second time they dropped off materials on the day promised (2hours late) but did not start work until the next day They were doing a bathroom remodel for me or times work was interrupted because they did not have the correct part or materials I do not have confidence in their work I am also disappointed because my shower walls are white but the shower base is a very light grey - they don't match

Personally we don’t know him or his company. He stated that he was doing home improvements in the area, and if we need any work done he could help us with that. Note: we needed doors for the home. The statement that Mr. Bill D[redacted] sent to the Revdex.com is not true at all. Note: (the contract with Gary for 4 were measured), we do not understand. Note: we don’t have $3,000.00 let alone $6,000.00 to give to anyone. Mr. Bill D[redacted] suggested two sources to finance this job. #1 [redacted] credit union, #2 [redacted] bank. Our loan was approved through [redacted] for $6,000.00 due to our good credit rating. On Feb. 2, 2016 Mr. Bill D[redacted] than with a 2nd  or re-written contract more suitable to what we wanted. Note: It stated 2 storm doors metal, top w/screen& storm glass. Entry doors front & back, metal, fiberglass w/wood grain finish on both side, also back door trim replaced.  All rotten wood removed & replaced. Note: Foyer area in front of the front door. All this work & material total $6,385.00. Mr. Bill D[redacted] stated that he needed ½ half of the moneys up front in the sum of $3,000.00 more for door and materials in order to start this job. On February 04, 2016 we went to the bank, and purchased a certified check for $3,000.00 to the B & D Contracting Co. I gave this check to Mr. Bill D[redacted]. Mr. Bill D[redacted] stated that his partner, Mr. Richard H[redacted] would be finishing up the rest of this job, and to keep in contact with Mr. Richard H[redacted]. Mr. Bill D[redacted] also wanted us to write another check in his name, Bill D[redacted] instead of the companies name. He said that the certified check of $3,000.00 that we gave him would not help him do this job, because he and his wife were going through a divorce, and she would claim half of this money. Note: we trusted Mr. Bill D[redacted] once again. Note: Still no doors had been ordered. The doors were a custom made door job. While Mr. Bill D[redacted] waited, me & my wife returned to the [redacted] Bank with the certified check, cashed it for cash and gave Mr. Bill D[redacted] $3,000.00 cash. We wanted to talk to him, about the 30 day time line on the 2nd written contract, his partner stated not to worry about the time line. The end of February was getting closer. We were concern. Mr. Richard [redacted] took me through a turn of events like you would not believe. We tried to called Mr. Bill D[redacted], his phone was always full and he would not return any calls. February was coming to an end. Mr. Richard H[redacted] than told me that the B & D Contracting Co. was not going to do this job, they were going to just take our money. He hinted toward that statement during the turn of events. The first week of March we decided to contact the Revdex.com & the Attorney Generals office. Note: no custom doors has been ordered, and no work has been done. We just want our money returned to us $3,385.00. Mr. Bill D[redacted] now has contacted us asking for 5 more weeks to do this job.
