fines/fees/court cost were ordered by a judge to be paid. This case was sent to a collection agency on 1/03/2006. That collection agency is no longer contracted by the Peoria County government. On 10/01/2012, Peoria County sent B-D Lawyers Group this file. We immediately began skip tracing to contact the individual to notify them of the open amount.
We are a law firm so we do not report to credit nor have we ever. We do not buy debt. This is also not CONSUMER DEBT. We are contracted by the courts, clerks, and State Attorney's to close cases that are open and have valid court orders signed by a circuit judges. This case is valid and open. The letter was not a threat, but information that [redacted] needs. The circuit clerks office can request that the secretary of state put a stop and hold on any drivers license that has an unpaid balance according to 625 ILCS 5/6-306.6. We do not have a say in that matter. B-D Lawyers Group and the Peoria County Circuit Clerk both reflect a balance remaining for 04TRXXXXX. If it remains open, then [redacted]'s drivers license is at risk. This information is not falsified or invalid. It is fact. Any unpaid court case is at risk for further protracted litigation and additional interest the clerk reserves the right to administer. If [redacted] has a receipt reflecting that her balance is satisfied, she will then need to contact the Peoria County Circuit Clerk. That is the location of the physical court file.

I paid the balance in full on day of court in the blizzard. When I left nothing was added. And in response to your so called skip tracing- I lived at the same address from 10/2007-05/2013. Finding that very hard to believe. When I had renewed my license for work and upgraded it 3 times in 2010. Your also not stating your contact with me on Terrace road in 2014. We spoke several times, in which your person became rude and I called the DMV to verify this info. They had to search and call me back 3 days later. In which I decided $26.00 is not worth a headache. I paid you, asked if I needed anything and you said I would receive something in the mail. Which I did, have an issue with my license because of this alledged all of a sudden bill. After I paid B-D lawyer received a letter that my license was cleared. Now, 2015 they claim I never paid this?? I called DMV again and this is so old of a debt, they can't verify it. The billing they used back in 2004, no longer exist. Now your coming after me on a 2nd note, that does not exist on a debt that is clearly 11 years old and past it's time for collection. Even my DMV said you can't do this. My original fine was only $100.00 and I PAID it the day I walked out of the court room. On a ticket that said unlawful usage of a lane in Peoria, ILL. Mind you, I was driving a semi, when crossing over the lanes, the company rig died on me, not able to get it restarted and was towed. My back end was in one lane by 10 inches! I bit the bullet on this ticket just to not be hassled. NOW...what am I getting hassled and lied too. NO! This company is incorrect and they know I paid this already!! NO DOUBT IN MY MIND. My wife and daughter were there on those many conversation and me paying you off in 2014.
