I had locked my keys in my vehicle and was walking around businesses to see if someone could help me. I came upon a customer in a business who's truck was parked outside which advertised help with lock-outs. I asked him if he could assist me and he said yes, once I am done with his business in the business where I approached him. On the way to my truck, I informed him that I only had $8.00 and he said he would look at it as his good deed of the day. I asked him how much he would normally charge and he said $25. I then asked him for his business card and told him I would mail him a check for $25. He unlocked my truck and I thanked him and told him I was serious and would mail him a check for his services. Later that same day, I realized I could not lock my driver's side door (which was the one he unlocked). The lock was broken. I in turn had to buy a new lock so that I could lock my vehicle. I mailed him a copy of the receipt (the check I sent him had cleared by this time) and asked him to reimburse me for the broken lock that he broke. I have heard nothing from him. He cashed the check so he rendered services to me and now will not reimburse me for the lock he broke.
