B & K Concrete of Rochester Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/22) */ We agreed to finish the job and it has been completedBecause of the wetter than usual spring and early summer we were not able to get to a lot of our jobsAll of our work got pushed back because of the weather--the majority of our work is outside, as is this customer'sOriginally, the homeowner wanted the slab and stoop torn out and replaced, but structurally they are sound and in good shape and did not need to be town out which saved them at least $2,All they needed was a coatingWe subcontracted this work out and we informed the homeowner that we had done soThe subcontractor did say he would how up a couple of times and something came up and he was not able to make itWe also informed the homeowner of thisIn addition, when we tore out their front service walk, the contractor who installed it when the house was built did not put enough fill underneath it and when we sawed it, it collapsedThis could have been disastrousWe should have charged more for this because we had to bring in a lot more rock, but we did notI showed this to the homeowner and also took pictures of itI feel that just because it has taken longer than what they thought it should take to finish the job, is no reason for the complaintOther customers have had to wait to get their jobs done because of the weather and they understand and are very patientIf I could control the weather, it would make my life and everyone else's a lot easier, but I can'tThis year has been terrible weather-wise and every cement contractor will tell you thatWe only have a couple of months to get caught up before winterSome people who do not have to deal with the weather in their line of business do have a hard time in understanding our predicament when it comes to scheduling jobs Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2015/09/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) B&K states that they "agreed to finish the job"They contracted for and were paid to complete this jobThey further state that the job's completion was delayed by terrible weather THIS YEAROur job could have been completed at the same time the concrete was poured in as opposed to waiting monthsWhen this did not happen, B&K guaranteed in October of that our job would be "the first one to be done in the spring of 2015"B&K seems to imply that they have done no work at all this year, since the first job (ours) was not done until 9-21-Further, B&K states that we were informed that the remaining work was subcontracted outWe were indeed informed of this for the first time by e-mail on September (saved and can be submitted if needed), just one week before the job was finally completed I have submitted sufficient information to back up our belief that B&K would not have completed the work for which we paid them without my multiple contacts in person, by phone, by e-mail, on the B&K website, and finally through the Revdex.comOther potential customers should be alerted not to complete payment to B&K prior to full completion of any contracted job
