[redacted] was charged for 3 storage vaults(265 cu ft ea at $45.00 per as estimated, 2 of them were full and the 3rd not full with items marked fragile. [redacted] was not charged per cu ft but for space up to 795 cu ft. His estimate of space  he is calculating from is a formula used to...

determine estimated weight of 7lbs per cu ft, not an exact measure of space due to some items being lighter but larger. When I attempted to explain after [redacted] had threatened to turn it over to his bankruptcy attorney at no cost to him, I told him I would be happy to explain to them the details, at no time was he told to go to hell as I never spoke to him other then emails which I would be happy to turn over from beginning to end. [redacted] over two years was past due multiple times, and reached the point of auction proceedings (90 days past due) and we never disposed of or raised his storage out of good faith, even after telling us he did not have to pay due to Chapter 7 filing which we would receive documentation and never did. [redacted]s accusations are totally false, misleading and slanderous and have no basis. Please feel free to contact me directly with any further information needed. Also please note that [redacted]s estimated space was adjusted down from 1370 to 795cu ft upon arrival to storage at a savings of $160.50 per month. Thank you, [redacted], President

Review: This is by far the most disreputable moving firm we've ever dealt with. They stored our furniture for nearly 2 years while we got settled into our new home. They charged us a storage fee based on their determination that we had 800 cubic feet of furniture. When our new mover, National Van Lines, a national moving company, picked our furniture up yesterday, they told us that the total volume was in fact only approximately 430 cubic feet, nearly half of what BK was charging us for!

When I approached the owner, [redacted], I was told to "[redacted]" and that I should have my attorney contact his.

I was simply asking him to reimburse us for the discrepancy, about $60/month.

They are by far the most disreputable moving firm we've ever dealt with.

If you're in need of a mover or storage firm in the [redacted] are, I strongly suggest stating VERY, VERY FAR away from BK movers!!Desired Settlement: This firm Ned's to be investigated for their deceptive billing practices. They are likely committing fraud on unsuspecting customers.

Review: BK Movers moved and stored our furniture when we moved from NJ to PA. Almost all of our belongings were damaged during the move. We were told to file a damage claim so we hired a furniture inspector who created a damage spreadsheet. We submitted the claim to BK Movers and it was denied.Desired Settlement: We would like them to either pay for repairs to the damaged items or compensate us to get the repairs made.

Response:

[redacted] was informed at her estimate increased valuation coverage was not available due to the condition of the furniture being moved all with prior damage. The pictures of the damage clearly shows wear and tear and water stains from a glass, not moving damage. The television in question had red tape across the bottom at the time of the estimate, and I was told it was there to hide the score of taped games, which in itself doesn't make sense, upon delivery after unwrapping the television she removed the tape and said we scratched it, even before it was turned on. 15 to 20 year old metal lawn chairs stacked in her backyard claiming $300.00. These are just a few examples After careful review of this claim it has been denied. All documents are available for review, including her estimate stating insurance was not available, and Order for Service showing her signature declining insurance and increased valuation coverage prior to her move taking place. A letter dated November 5, 2013 was mailed stating our position.
