per our contract ,I was tearing existing roof off to wood deck,install 15# saturated felt on entire roofFree of no charge to install free ice

I do not believe all of this is correct or pertinent to my main complaintMy main commplaint is that the work is not finished and not finished correctly as evidenced by the independent inspection I submitted on 9/I did cancel the appointment but told the owner at the time of cancellation that I'd reschedule which I still am willing to doI called him on 9/explaining that I had an independent inspection done and more problems were found than I originally reportedThis is when he refused to make another appointment with me to come back and finish the workThe good faith effort with the free product has nothing to do with the quality of his work, again evidenced by the independent inspection I had completedI said Mr*** was not allowed on my property unless I was onsite I never said he was not allowed on my property ever againI have to supervise him if he will be on my property because I don't trust himMy insurance company only issues
checks to their claimant, me, and the leinholder, my bankHe said he didn't want to deal with insurance companies when he started the job so that is why I dealt when my insurance company instead of himI feel the Revdex.com is not representing the consumer fairly in this case number

It has been turned over to MY insurance company and they had a claimI had to pay another deductible, not to mention the roof damage the business
caused by poor workmanship and negligenceThat was $additionalYOUR insurance company, *** ***, offered me a settlement of $1205, and with that your company is released from any liability for any roof damageI can go after the company for the damage caused by the water and mold inside my houseBut, since your insurance coverage does not cover any of that, I would like to know what insurance company is taking care of thisMy insurance company should not have to foot any of the damage caused by the roofing company at allThat should all be taken care of by the company or the company's insuranceBecause of the additional claim, I now face being dropped by my insurance, as well as trying to find a new company, which will most likely now cost thousands of dollars more for one year's coverageNot to mention my roof looks better after the company I hired to repair the damage that was supposed to be fixed by your companyAfter your company finished, my roof and gutters looked like they were repaired by schoolchildrenIt looks better now, but it still not up to the standard that it should beAgain, my insurance company should not have to pay one cent for the negligence and shear poor workmanship shown by your company

After meeting my customer on the job site to sign the contract, we discussed where I would be throwing off the roofing debrisOn the east side of the building there is a ftgangwayOn the west side of the building, there is approximately 6-8ftfor a possible disposal spotWe could not throw
off the front of the roof due to a front porch below so we opted for the larger gangwayNote: Dumpster was parked on the streetWhen starting the job, B *** Roofing tarped the whole ground where debris was to be thrown so all debris would fall on the tarpAs depicted in Mr***’s letter to the Revdex.com it states another company’s point of view on how to prepare a demolition jobWhile tearing off multiple layers of flat roofing, a $downspout was dented on the house next door to our jobI immediately knocked on the neighbor’s door (Mr***) to inform the home owner of the damage and no one answeredI left a business card stating what had happened and explained that I would repair the dented downspout at no charge once completed my customer’s jobMr*** and his company is in the business of installing gutters, downspouts, fascias and all exterior work, and advertises with the Revdex.comWe do not understand how Mr*** can say that this is not in line with B *** Roofing & Exteriors line of workWhen my customer’s roof was completed, and the gangway completely cleaned, Mr*** was being over anxious about getting the downspout fixedI discussed the condition of the building we were wor*** on with Mr*** as it was unoccupied and he was completely disgusted with my customer and his property in generalFrom that point, it was apparent that this man did not get along with the neighbor I was doing work forThis automatically starts off with a bad communication vibeAt that time, Mr*** stated one plank, on his gate was also damagedAt no time did my picture that was taken after the job was completed show any damage to the gateI offered to fix it for him anyway just as a good business gesture, but then he quoted me a price for a whole new gate totaling $390, wanting me to pay himAgain, our pictures show this gate was not damaged due to any fault of B *** Roofing & Exteriors with the Revdex.com when this could have been resolved had he let me fix his downspoutI told him I would be by to fix the downspout, but I would not incur the $for the gate which we did not damageHe then sent an email threatening me, stating that he would call the police if I showed up on his propertyThis gentleman, Mr***, has made many statements that are completely falseWe were not negligent in any way with any work that was doneAnyone who lives in a city home is well aware of the fact that there is not much space between buildings, and most neighbors get alongHowever, Mr*** refuses to get along with the neighbor to the eastMy customer is a teacher at UMSL and is a very nice manI am attaching picturesAs the pictures show, a tarp was usedWe did take every precautionary measure possible like we do on all jobs to take care of our demolition debris and properties involvedThis man is determined to try to ruin B *** Roofing’s reputation, and I may seek legal representation for defamation of character by Mr***He has also falsely accused us of damaging his fenceThere is no proof that the fence was damaged by usIn fact, you can see in the picture that there is no damage to the fenceWhen he threatened me that he was going to call the Revdex.com, I called the Revdex.com to set up an arbitration processUnfortunately, I could not complete the necessary arbitration proceedings before he filed his claim because I did not have this man’s phone number as required by the Revdex.com

I originally inspected this roof at XX*** in the last week of July 2014, the roof has a dividing firewall between addressesWest
side of roof was a hot tar roof 10-years old, shotEat side had a modified rubber roof on guesstimating towards end of life expectancy,I informed *** he needed a new roof ,IQuoted him a tear off approx$His response was the flat roof coWas going to coast roof inSo I quoted same but didnt recomendWork was completed august4thIn October he called back and said he had a leak in east side where he has had tenants mover out due to Dave not fixing roof leak.I have merry his brother at job site desperate times to discuss what's the problemI sealed flashings free of charge April 1st I can not be responsible for a roof that was not put on by my companyNo company canI would continue to help this man but he's aggarvated he chose to try and coat a roof that he was informed it needed to be tore offMultible Layers on both roofs

I believe this file should be reopenedHe made a year guaranty in writing and now does not want to honor it
I have attached a copy of the signed contract and invoiceBoth of them give a year warranty
I also have attached copy of the bid from Flat RoofThis is the proposal Mr*** agreed to match at a lower cost of $
I specifically told him the warranty was essential on him getting the workThere would have been no purpose for me to pay $2,to coat the roof if it wasn't going to prevent the roof from leaking
He told me numerous times he would match the Flat Roof company's yr warranty/guarantee
I have attached copy of the signed contractIt's hard to read as picture image so I am directly quoting below
"1)On *** we will install rubber patches on low lying spots
2)On *** we will install a rubber patch on center of roof where its low
3)Repair wall flashings on both buildings
4)Install a Fibered roof coating "aluminum" on both addresses and we will provide a yr warranty on roofs
No maintenance cost for any roofing during year period."
Then below it has the amount of $And mine and Mr***'s signature
The invoice upon completion also states the year warrantyIt is attached as well
Also, in December I paid $for Mr*** to do the tuck pointing because he claimed that was what was causing the leak not the roof, however it continued to leak after the tuck pointing as well
None of this even calls into the question of the quality of his actual workAfter having another roofer take a look at the work, he told me the quality was sub standard and basically I got ripped off

B King Roofing & Exteriors does not have any records of receiving any calls from Ms*** about the alleged damaged she sustained to her home. We were not aware of any complaint until we received an email from the Revdex.com on 8/3/16. On 8/06/16, we repaired Ms***’s alleged damage
according to her request. B King Roofing & Exteriors replaced pieces of siding. We inspected the grounds, and like all jobs, we use a magnetic roller around the premises daily, while job is in progress. Note: If grass is high, and not maintained, the magnetic roller sometimes misses an occasional nail or staple. While repairing siding, there was another trip made around the house with the magnetic roller to make sure the grounds were as clean as possible. In the area where the work was performed, grounds were tarped and cleaned daily. Note: Roof was over a 10-pitch roof (steep.) As we did not have a phone number for Ms***, we left a business card notating that the repairs had been made in Ms***’s mailbox
