Garage Sealers would like to take this opportunity to address the complaint filed with the Revdex.com on October 3rd, from *** ***. We first would like to apologize to *** for our delayed response to her complaint. Garage Sealers had not been properly notified
that a complaint had been filed against our company. Upon notification we would have immediately reached out to the customer as well as the Revdex.com to address the matter and move as quickly as possible to a resolutionWarranty work is an important part of any service business and we strive to resolve this complaint with this customer. We learned of the complaint in January of by simply checking our rating on the website and we immediately made contact with the customer and the Revdex.com to determine what steps were necessary to resolve the issue. We have since worked with *** to determine the best course of action to resolve the problem she was having with her floor. I set up a meeting with *** at her home and we reviewed the affected areas of the floor and I offered that we would not only fix those areas but also apply a new layer of epoxy, chips and clear coat over the four main panels of the garage. We have completed the repair work and *** has corresponded with me indicating that she is 100% satisfied with the results. Garage Sealers values the importance of what the Revdex.com stands for as an advocate for consumers as well as businesses. For this reason and the fact that the Revdex.com had been reaching out to us several times in to become an accredited business with them, we feel that it is important to address the issues in this complaint. Garage Sealers is extremely grateful that *** was willing to work with our company to move towards a resolution and we appreciate this opportunity to respond. First and foremost, we are sorry that she felt that way about our professional installation. *** was referred to Garage Sealers from another customer who lived down the street from her. We pride ourselves on doing a professional job and strive to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. More than 90% of our work comes from referrals and satisfied customers that we have built relationships with over the yearsWe have been in business for years and have always taken pride in the fact that we were able to maintain an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. As the business owner, I spoke with the Revdex.com regarding my concern about this complaint. As a company that has maintained an A+ rating with the Revdex.com, we pride ourselves in having integrity and operating under that premise. There was an issue in the complaint regarding our floor preparation and that something must have been done improperly. Floor preparation is the most important part of the installation process. Every concrete slab is unique and we take factors of age and condition of the floor into account in order to determine the best course of action to ensure that our coating will bond properly. Many times when we meet with a customer we have to deal with issues pertaining to existing coatings, sealers or excessive salt build up that could hinder a resin system from adhering properly to the concrete. The condition of ***'s concrete was excellent and exhibited no factors that would be of any concern for our epoxy system to have any adhesion issues. On December 4th, 2016, I received a text from *** showing areas of the floor that had chipped up. Fortunately for us this rarely happens and we were extremely concerned. I immediately contacted *** and scheduled to do the repair work on December 13th. Upon completion, I contacted *** letting her know that the repair work was finished and it may have a slightly different appearance because epoxy has a mil thickness that may cause it to be slightly higher than the other areas of the floor. I also explained that the color may look slightly different for a short period of time because it is a fresh repair and the other area of the floor had been down for several months. *** did reach out to me in the fall of indicating that there was more repair work that needed to be done to her floor. Garage Sealers apologizes that *** felt that we were not as responsive as we should have been. *** states that she reached out to us dozens of times however I was only aware of the three times as she cited in her complaint and each time we corresponded back with her. Both *** and I have extremely busy schedules and for that reason setting up a time to meet is not as simple as it may be with other customers. I did make an attempt to go to her house on September 29th but the timing didn't work out and then four days later the complaint was filed with the Revdex.com. As stated above, Garage Sealers has completed the repairs to the floor. We went above and beyond by applying a new coat of epoxy, chips and clear coat in order to eliminate the possibility of the repaired areas looking different from the rest of the floor. We appreciate ***’s business as we do all of our customers and apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused
