B & L Litigation Group Reviews (13)

Too late, I just had a similar situation, calling my daughters, brother, best buy default. threatening additional 3500.00 in legal fees if it was not taken care of immediately. I unfortunately did pay, even though I had reservations. They did send DocuSign via email, B & L Litigation Group. I was scared, I did not have another 3500.00 dollars. Now I feel like an it. Is DocuSign a legit company?? does anyone know, can anyone use it? It all happened so fast, my daughters alert me, I had a VM the same day with a reference #. I did owe best Buy, did receive a letter of "0" balance, OMG how can you know when it is a real situation. I will notify Attorney General office. This too is an old debt. I have to look into rules in PA. Consumer Affairs is what I was told by my cousins yesterday when I told them, they to were suspicious. Again, telling me about liens, wage garnishment, freezing accounts. This was a first and last. I too will refuse. THANK YOU

Review: Continuously calls for a party that does not live here refuses to remove our phone numberDesired Settlement: Stop calling the house

Do not give this company any information about yourself or acknowledge owing any debt. They falsely represent themselves as county agents, such as a clerk of court, and imply that you are about to be sued for a debt. They misrepresent themselves and do not identify as a debt collector which is required by law. Make them send you via U.S. Mail information about the debt and proof that you owe it. This company is extorting people out of money on debts that are about to pass the statute of limitations. Acknowledging you owe the debt just resets the clock giving them more time to collect from you. If they scammed you by claiming they are suing you, be sure to file a report with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau part of the Federal Trade Commission.

Received a call from this agency and returned their call. The agent [redacted] (his title is Director of Operations) who claims to be a paralegal and wanting to serve papers and stating this was a law firm calling. When if you listen you will know full well that this is a collection agency. (hearing all the voices in the call center - he states these are secretaries and office staff - that's a bunch of bull) And no reference to relating the info to the caller (myself) as being a collection agency - looking to make a collection. They use tactics as I will have you served and we will bring suit against you.

Very cavalier and holier than thou.

if they call just hang up - no need for the harassment.

Review: B&L Litigation left a msg on cell stating to return their call (855-512-1102) within 24 hrs concerning File [redacted]. I returned call. Spoke with [redacted]. He first asked for my husband's SS#. I advised that I was not even sure who I was speaking with and was not comfortable with giving my husband's SS#. He says this is concerning issue 8 yrs ago concerning jewely purchase. Husband took care of this yrs ago. Each time co. changes hands, this issue arises. When Friedman Jewelry first sold to Monterey Financial, my husband showed them the receipt of pymt in full and thinking this issue was resolved, we have since lost track of receipt. Explained this to [redacted] was very rude; would not let me finish sentences. He wanted to speak with my husband immediately. I explained he was at work and would call first thing in AM. [redacted] said, "no, he would be subpoenaed to go to court". I explained the receipt situation and [redacted] said without receipt the court would require us to pay the said amount. I explained that I thought his treatment of me was unfair as I could not contact my husband while at work and he was not even willing to work with me (and my husband) in any fashion. He advised that the call was being recorded. I then stated, "good and recorded my thoughts, which are as above...(this issue had been resolved, my husband cannot take calls while at work, and had asked repeatedly to allow husband to call in AM).Desired Settlement: We don't owe this bill so no payment should be required. No subpoena should be served. With my husband's line of work, if subpoenaed while at work, he will be fired. He is a boss in the coal mines and this would definitely jeopardize his employment. Want this issue resolved and no contact in the future from said company or issue.

I would like to make anyone who might receive a phone call from this company aware of what they are and what they are trying to do. If they get your voicemail they will leave an automated message stating they "have important paperwork that needs to be delivered to you, and to call them back @ 844-533-0618". When you return the call you get transferred to a "Law office" who's representative asks for personal information such as you social security #, how long you've had the # that they called, etc. Do NOT give these people any of your personal information. When asked why it is that they are calling they refuse to give you any information unless you will give them your personal info. They become combative and use scare tactics telling you "they'll see you in court" and to "grow up and stop acting like you're a child". And when they are told not to call your # again you immediately receive a call back and are asked "what are you going to do about it?". This is a COLLECTION AGENCY and they are required by law to identify themselves as one. Again, do NOT give anyone at this company any of your info, in fact don't even call the # back. They will use people's fear as a way to get money that isn't owed.

Scam!! DO NOT give any personal info over the phone!!..They are RUDE and try to scare you by threatening to serve you papers to go to court!!

Review: Received a robot call from them to verify my work address or home address so they could send me court documents.

I called the number and had to leave a message. The message I left was this. If you have something to deliver to me send it to my attorney. I gave them her name phone number and address. I also told them I had filed bankruptcy on all debts as of March of this year. The very next day they called me again. When I tried the number again it said the number was experiencing difficulties and cannot accept calls at this time. I know my credit report reflects the fact the

we have filed bankruptcy. I also know it is against the law for them to even attempt to call me when we have filed bankruptcyDesired Settlement: To stop calling me and follow the proper channels if they are truly owed any money.

And do not call any of my relatives. Some one gave them my private cell phone number.

Review: I received a call on 11-5-14 from a "no caller ID" number. The person stated that a "parcel" had been sent twice to me but I wan't there to sign for it. I needed to call a specific number, ###-###-####, in order to set up delivery. I was greeted on the phone by a [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] stated that a complaint had been filed against me regarding a credit card that I had defaulted on in 2010. I had filed bankruptcy in 2009 and I didn't remember getting the card, but I wasn't sure. He said that my arrears was $2999.00 and that a suit had been filed against me and that I had committed bankruptcy fraud because I had gotten a card after I filed bankruptcy. I told him I didn't remember, but it was possible and my attorney didn't tell me that it would be fraud if I got one. He said, "he should have because the court can fine you $5000." I began to ask him where the suit was filed. He said an attorney in KY filed it. I asked him what firm and who the attorney was, he said the attorney didn't want to talk to me. I told him I understood that he wouldn't speak with me. I wanted information so I could make sure that this was a valid phone call. I asked if he was an attorney, he stated he was a "paralegal". He then became more aggressive and angrier as I asked more questions. He told me I was a criminal, not very smart, and asked me why I thought all of the questions I was asking even mattered because I was a fraud. He then said, "see you in court" and hung up on me. I haven't found any law stating that getting a credit card after bankruptcy was a fraudulent act.Desired Settlement: Would love to see this guy shut down for good! He isn't a legal professional. I have worked as a paralegal and it isn't their responsibility to do things of this nature and you never speak to a client this way. I plan to file with the FTC and the KY AG's Office.

Review: About a year ago I received a call from this company stating I had a legal matter and was going to be subpoenaed to court for an old debt with HSBC. I had been divorced, and in my divorce settlement my ex husband was supposed to pay a debt to HSBC, but he had not been paying, so I assumed the claim was valid and pertaining to the credit card that he was not paying. The threats of being taken to court and wages being garnished scared me, so I set up payment arrangements, where they could automatically deduct $50 per month from my account. I gave them my debit card number. Being a single mom, I did not want to jeopardize my family, so I let it go and assumed they were legit. I decided to research them today, and I am finding that they are a scam. I called them to stop the automated payments, and the person I spoke with argued with me, called me a scammer and a fraud, and accused me of not paying my taxes. I had filed Bankruptcy when I was married, and he also brought that up. He refused to stop the withdrawals and wanted to know who had advised me to stop payments to them. He continually talked over me until I hung up on him. Since he would not stop the payments as I requested, I called my bank and cancelled my card. When I talked to him on the phone, he told me my current balance owed was $2784.00. The letter I received a year ago said my balance was $2499.06. At first he argued that the raised amount was due to interest, then I read the letter to him. He then said I was correct and said the balance was $1799.06. To me, this confirmed that they are liars trying to scare people with poor credit and past money issues.Desired Settlement: They need to be investigated and closed down. I do not want any further contact from them, as they harass and bully people into believing they will be prosecuted if payment arrangements are not made.

Review: Received several voice mails at my place of employment stating that they needed to serve me legal papers at my place of employment, which by the way they had the wrong address. I called back to give them the correct address but were very rude and would not listen. Was told it was for a credit card debt with [redacted] and that they were suing me and will take my house, income tax return, garnish wages, etc. When I said that in the state of [redacted] which is where I reside that they cannot take my house or wages the woman became very rude and hung up on me. I called back several times to try to give them the correct address to serve me and continued to be hung up on. I finally got a guy on the phone and he tried to be nice to resolve the situation and "there are options for you so you don't get sued for your house, wages, etc ".....long story short, he convinced me that I need to pay this debt which he said was $2000 and we settled on $450 which I was dumb enough to give him my credit card information. After not receiving email confirmation stating that they were releasing this debt as paid in full is pulled my credit report and started doing research on this company....This was a closed account from 2009 that should not even be collected on and they have used the same tactics on many other people. They are scam artist preying on people that may have had credit issues in the past.Desired Settlement: I have requested a credit back for the $450 and if they are really needing to serve me then they can serve to my home address. I would like this refund as a check sent to my home since I immediately cancelled my back card. This place needs to be investigated and shut down, they cannot call people and threaten them the way they do.

I want complain and also make others aware that this business is incompetent. They have continually called my place of business asking for an employee who has been deceased for 3 years. They are hard to reach on the phone, continually playing recorded messages. I have left 2 messages to explain that the employee is deceased and that they can verify it by googling his name and the city and read the obituary. But they ignore my messages and continue to call me. After calling them back 7-8 more times before anyone would pick up the phone today, they were rude and told me that they do not do research like that. Really!!!! They have time to keep my number in call rotation but do not have time to do a simple google? Refusing to do this simple research on a deceased person who they are trying to serve papers to. How would they ever win a case being that lazy? Rude & Incompetent!!!
