I recently had a Heat pump/AC unit installed at my residenceI contracted * & M to install new unitI discussed a specific unit ie *** and was provided a quote for a *** *** to which I thought was a model of a *** productWhen the unit arrived it was labelled a *** I specifically requested a *** unitI agreed to have the unit installed but contacted *** directThe customer service representative informed that the units were not the same product and were manufactured in different factoriesThe description they provided me was that the difference between the two was the *** was the Cadillac model line and the *** unit was more like a ChevyThey stated the products were Very differentThe technicians that installed the unit did a very good job but I am not pleased with the deceptive practice for discussing and purchasing one unit and providing another unit for installation Unfortunately I was nearing a cold spell which a working furnace would be requiredThey did state that would return the unit but would not replace it with the unit I requested
I also requested a receipt for the work, the technical readings that were taken at the time of installation, and the documentation I require to provide my tax service for a tax rebate for installing a higher efficiency unitSo far I have had to contact them three times for this documentation and I am still waiting(days after installation)This is not very good customer service
Any one dealing with this company needs to be VERY SPECIFIC about the unit they purchase The technicians do a good job , I am still very disturbed that I did not receive the unit I requested and lack of documentation after the installation
