The furnace was never fully inspected, but a minute look at visually with a mini - flashlightThe Furnace is still running fine, the exchanger was never inspected to be "cracked" as claimed by the field technicianI fixed it myself in minutes time with a new "sensor" and losened the blower as it had alot of dirt in it the kept it locked up temporarily! My furnace was codemned in minutes? How you can do that with out a full inspection is beyond me

November 6, 2012Revdex.comAttn: *** ***Holiday Drive, Suite 220Pittsburgh, PA 15220RE: *** *** open complaint from 2016Mr*** called us because he had no heat. Our HVAC technician did an inspection on Mr*** year old furnace.
Our technician determined that a blower motor and heat exchanger were needed to get his equipment working. Our technician determined that these two parts were needed during the furnace inspection. This was our expert opinion. Our technician also told Mr*** that since his equipment was years old that it would be in his best interest to think about a new equipment. It has been our experience that putting new parts on an old piece of equipment is sometimes not cost efficient. You repair one item then other parts go bad…one after the other because of the equipment is so old. We did not tell Mr*** that we would not repair his equipment, we told him our expert opinion. The prices to repair the his existing equipment would have been over $1700.00…..vsnew furnace at $4150.00. The decision was up to him. He opted to go with new furnace then canceled. We did reach out to Mr*** to let him know that it is still our expert opinion that his heat exchanger is cracked. He should not operate his equipment with a cracked heat exchanger. Kelly M***General ManagerMcVehil
