Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Many statements are still incorrect or have no explanation There are days from July 7th am (when I dropped my car off) until July 31st pm when I picked it up Why did you tell me to drop the car off at July 7th at am if you knew you would not be able to look at it until days later, which you confirmed in your letter? Before I dropped my car off, your employee said that getting parts for Toyota takes only about a day or two because Toyota Warehouse is in Portland, OR - just hours drive away I chose to have high deductible and insurance with fewer benefits to keep my premium manageable because I have my teen son on my policy, who actually was in the accident with my car If my insurance approved additional charges on 13th and car went in for repairs on 21st, does that mean it took days to get the parts? From PortlandThe complaint is not about me not having rental car, the issue was about you lying and treating me with little respect I tell everyone at work, [redacted] , how not to take their vehicles there, when one of co-workers was soliciting advice for repair shops via company-wide e-mailI received several thank yous from co-workers who were considering taking their cars there and I am glad they did not need to go through this.Sincerely, [redacted]

To whom it may concern, In regards to the issue brought up by Mrs***, her vehicle was dropped off for insurance repairs on July 7th, It had an original estimate of $2,However, when the car was disassembled, we discovered hidden damagesThese totaled to an additional
$4,We notified her insurance company on July 10th, and on July 13th, they came out to inspect the hidden damagesThen, on July 15th, we received the insurance company's revised paperwork and entered it into our systemAdditional parts were ordered which normally take 3-business days to arrive to our facilityAll work stopped until we received supplemental partsAll parts were received and the car was back in the shop on the frame bench on July 215r, After the technician made unibody repairs, he found that we needed some additional parts and laborWe sent this additional information to the insurance company on July 27th, On July 29th, we received the revised paperwork from the insurance companyAt this time, the car was entered into the painting process and final paperwork was sent into insurance on the 30th of JulyThey approved everything on the same dayAfter paint, the car was reassembled, the A/C was charged and the car went into detail on the 31stShe picked up her car on July 31st, at 5:PMOriginal estimate from insurance $Additional damage found after disassembly $Additional damage found after pulled on frame Bench & repairs were done $1046.05 Final bill amount due $Total amount of estimate $
This was not a small cosmetic repair as the original estimate statedTotal labor hours on the job were hoursTo figure the amount of days that a car will be in the shop the industry standard is to take the total labor hours and divide by If we do this we come up with between 15-business days to repairThe vehicle was in our facility for business daysWith time for the insurance company to come out and waiting for parts you can clearly see that we were not out of line with the amount of time needed to properly repair the vehicleI understand part of the issue is that the guest did not have rental coverageWe repair vehicles to manufacturer standards and that takes time to do correctlyI would suggest speaking to her insurance agent about adding rental coverage to her policy so that she can avoid being without a car should another accident occurIn close I sincerely hope that Mrs*** can understand that we do try to accommodate our customers to the best of our ability but they must understand that when the bill and labor increase nearly times the original estimate that it is going to take time to repair correctlyThank you for your time,
