Review: Mr. L[redacted] the partner to Landlord`s Property Management executed the rental contract between the Landlord Ms [redacted] and myself as it pertains to 620 East Hawkeye apt2 Turlock CA.When we moved in we noticed that the property was infested with cockroaches and it still is; such was not explained to us in prior. We paid our rent every month even before its due date. Last month we had an issue with the air conditioner that broke down in our apartment, we called [redacted] on a repair issue i.e. the landlord as L. [redacted], though obviously is the agent and works on a commission to rent out Ms. [redacted]`s property, refused to assist us in any matters after we signed the contract and moved in. Ms. [redacted] was informed and the issue was not attended for several hours. The details are in the attached letter that is sent to all parties involved. We paid our rent and deducted the amount we incurred on an AC system that did not work. [redacted] was informed of this in prior. After that we noticed a possible retaliation by the landlord as, though we had the receipt, she was not cashing out the check (rent).So we sought help from L. [redacted] which he made the claim that it is between us and the landlord. He also reiterated that [redacted] tends to be frugal and this is her character and as a landlord she should be fixing up the property better. Eventually L. [redacted] left a message indicating that we should never do this again, meaning deducting the repair amount, and he spoke with Ms. [redacted] and all is OK. On Thursday we received a letter from the Landlord`s Property Management that the landlord requests us to vacate the property. We called the Landlord`s property Management and L [redacted] claimed that this has nothing to do with him and there were no grounds to Ms [redacted]`s request, she just wanted the property back.We are seeking counsel but at the same time since the LPP is one that is registered and has to abide by the law, we first started our complaint process with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Refund on punitive damages and explanation
