This is the worst place that I've ever lived. I've live here for almost a year and have had numerous issues.
1. The first week I was there the toilet had problems flushing. I called maintenance who responded pretty quickly. He found that the main sewer line was clogged for the entire building and told me they would call for a plumber in the morning. I asked if he really expected an entire building of people to go a night without use of toilets to which he responded "you can use the toilet, just don't flush it". Well as disgusting and unsanitary as that sounds I had no choice. A couple of hours later I noticed that raw sewage was backing up into my bathtub. I called again and THEN he called for a plumber, but not before some residents' tubs overflowed and sewage soaked their carpets.
2. The apartment itself was not what I was expecting. I viewed a model apartment which was very nice. Mine however had holes in walls and doors which were badly patched and a horrible paint job. The cabinets don't close properly. Doors on the linen and coat closets are metal and make a lot of noise to open. The cable hook-up is in the dining room for some reason so I had to pay extra to have extra cable run and now have this exposed wire running all over the apartment. There is a 2x4 block of wood running from floor to ceiling in the doorway to the kitchen for no apparent reason. There are cracks in the kitchen ceiling and drops of paint in several places.
3. I've complained about my upstairs neighbor since the day I moved in and nothing has been done. He jumps rope and does jumping jacks above my head at all hours. Even when he's just walking around, it sounds like he's going to fall through the floor. when he walks (which he constantly paces) the windows and sliding glass door in my apartment rattle. He also plays his guitar anytime he feels like it and always slams the door. With all of this there should be something the office can do. I was told that they would give him 7 days to stop the noise and if he didn't his lease would be terminated. When I called back 10 days later, I was informed that they couldn't do that. So, why was I told that they could?
4. The grounds are constantly littered with trash such as chicken bones, paper, broken glass etc. A dead tree fell down about 6 months ago and it is still laying there. I've seen several drug deals and smell marijuana quite a bit.
5. When I first moved in I noticed that the kitchen sink leaked at the base and called maintenance. They came out and told me that they needed to order a part. 8 months later, it's still not fixed.
6. My upstairs neighbor left his kitchen sink running and flooded my kitchen. The light cover came crashing down, one of the bulbs in the fixture blew and the crack in the ceiling go even bigger. I made 3 appointments with the drywall guys and they never showed to any nor did they call and tell me they weren't coming. They showed up on a day when I wasn't expecting them, but unfortunately I was cooking directly beneath the spot they needed to work on. I told the guy that he was supposed to be there 2 days ago. He just shrugged. I sent him away. A few weeks later, I asked the office what was going on about this and was told they'd call me back which they never did. It has now been about 3 months and the repairs still haven't been done. I have another appointment with the drywall guy, but I have no confidence that he will show up.
