February 6, Re: Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] Mirage Cove DrPalm Desert, CA Billing or Collection Issues To Whom It May Concern: On the 6'of December, BRS Roofing, Incwas contracted to flash in solar stand legs at unit #46, home of *** [redacted] Please note that payment was due upon completionAt this time, BRS placed a pre-lien on the homeThe total cost to flash the legs was $2,Approximately days later, Mr [redacted] advised me that he did not like the solar panels and would not be paying the solar company, He asked BRS Roofing to remove the legsBRS advised him that it would cost him another $2,to remove the solar legs and re-foam his roof Mr [redacted] let me know that house was up for sale and it was in escrow and asked that we have the new homeowner deal with thisI advised him that it was his responsibility to put the roof back in place due to the fact that BRS Roofing has a year warranty on the roofs of this propertyThe President of the Board of Directors of his Homeowners Association, Kent Barnes, called BRS Roofing and advised BRS to put the roof back in placePlease keep in mind that this particular roof is considered a "common area." A homeowner is not allowed to alter the condition of this particular roof and if they do so, the homeowner is responsible for the cost that occurs during the alterationBRS Roofing, Incis responsible for keeping these roofs in place for the duration of the warrantyWhen Mr [redacted] decided that he did not want to pay BRS, the only recourse BRS had was to place a lien on this propertyI advised him that since we had to remove the legs, I would give him a $break and he would owe BRS Roofing 55,400.00, however after going through our Lien Service Company, a $1,fee would be added to his billI do apologize for the confusion and inconvenience but the only course of action is to place a lien on the property when a customer refuses to payHowever, I can understand why Mr [redacted] is upsetI hope this brings some clarity to the situationThank you, [redacted] President/CEO
