Sinking slab foundation in home built by [redacted] less than 3 years ago. July 2012 I purchased a newly built home constructed by [redacted] Today, while opening a window in the lower level (split level home) I noticed an unevenness beneath carpet. When I lifted the carpet I discovered the slab had sunken in approximately 1" and with a gap approximately 1/4" thick. An email was sent to the president of the company asking for assistance with hopes he could shed some light. I have yet to receive a response from the company. I believe that customers should be made aware of the subpar performance when [redacted] builds a home. If no resolution can be made. My house is less than 3 years old and for the slab to sink that far is due to improper installation.Desired SettlementI am asking [redacted] to warranty a major major structural issue that has occurred in less than 3 years of owning the house. I request that they look at the issue and advise/repair what has occurred. Or contact the subcontractor they used for the slab and have the issue fixed.Initial**usiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXXContact Email: [redacted].com[redacted] has responded to this complaint. It was determined that the complaint was not directed at [redacted] but at the developer that sold the home. [redacted] did visit with the homeowner at the site. [redacted] provided a free consultation to the questions at hand. [redacted] is ready, willing and able to provide any pricing in the future to address any construction concerns. Thank you for reaching out and trust that this complaint is now completed to the consumers satisfaction.Consumer Response It appears that we have two construction companies pointing the finger at each other as to who would be responsible.B. Romeo and Sons are refusing to come to my residence and look at the issue. [redacted] did come however, we are waiting for an neutral party evaluation to take place on June 29, 2015. This is now becoming a case where who is going to cover what has occurred. The focus needs to remain, on who performed the work and is this a reflection of their work if so, other customers should in fact be made aware of no one is willing to rectify the issue. On June 29 I will have more information as the to root of the problem and what can be done to rectify to the. However, as of now it's a matter of which companies accepts responsibility.
