Crew from B&W Paving in Pembroke, MA arrived unannounced on 6/7 saying they had gravel materal left from another job and would offer a "good deal" to spread over my small existing gravel driveway and parking area (we

are right by the street). I advised them I could only spend $200 to $300. They said that was okay, that it would be a really good deal. They spread all of what they had and gave me a bill for $2900. I explained that I never had that much to spend, so he "remeasured" and gave me a new total of $1500. I explained again that I only had $200 to $300 and the man became accusatory towards me. I was crying at this point, explaining that this was all my

bill money for the month. He said he needed to pay his crew. I ended up writing a check for $1400. I never signed an authorization for work but unfortunately also did not get a written estimate, and am now struggling to pay my bills.
