Just before thanksgiving we placed a service call to have our furnace looked at, as it would run for about minutes but then a odour would come from the vents and it would shut off A few days later a young tech showed up looked at the furnace for about an hour and could not come up with a solution as to what was wrong His suggestion was that we had a draft problem or electrical and needed to call a chimney specialist and an electrician, both of which came out to tell us that wasn't the problem I should mention, the tech from BWalsh did no tests to come to this conclusionSo we called BWalsh heating to inform them neither was the problem -- *** *** *** ***
A few days later, another tech came out however due to poor weather the power was out -- we ran the same symptoms by him, to which he said he wasn't sure but would have to look the furnace over again himself I immediately got the worst feeling *** *** *** I called another company who came out immediately and so I cancelled my service call with BWalsh Heating, as they still hadn't diagnosed any issues or provided any services to that point
The second company had diagnosed the problem as a boiler motor issue and replaced the part all within less than hour *** *** BWalsh Heating has actually charged us for someone to come and *** *** *** *** *** ***
When I called to ask why we were charged as we had not received an invoice, it was because it costs money to send someone out*** *** ***
