Babcock Fabrication, LLC Reviews (1)

Mrs*** was a referral from an existing customer; therefore Babcock Fabrication and Mrs*** began our business relationship on 04/05/during a consultation at *** ** *** *** at 5:00pmIt was in their horme that we discussed and designed the fabrication of
a custom steel window trellisIn an effort to meet a tight timeline, materials were purchased totaling over $After discussing and designing the minor details of the project for several weeks, Mrs*** decided not to proceed with fabricationIn good faith, BabcockFabrication absorbed the material cost.Communication with Mrs.*** resumed on 05/23/with a request to build a "...Metal sheli to support a China tray." Just as before, BabcockFabrication requested to meet on site to discuss the scope of work, but in this case Mrs*** insisted upon exclusively communicating via text message(Despite several attempts to call her) Between 05/23/ and05/24/thirty seven text messages were exchanged.Mrs*** then requested that Babcock Fabrication pick up the "China tray" from a local antique shopUpon taking possession of the tray, the materials were ordered and the fabrication process beganThe product was completed on 06/23/and a request to install the product was made to Mrs***.It was then tha t she informed me that the produ ct being fabricated was for a house in New York, not Arizona.Babcock Fabricationhad every inten tion to install this product and ensure customer sa tisfaction.Mrs*** then insisted upon us sending the fabricated product and the China tray via day mailShe also insisted that the items be packaged by her preferred UPS location approximatelymiles from Babcock Fabrication's point of business. As requested, the package was shipped at a cost in excess of $Mrs*** was sent a revised invoice with added shipping charges: Babcock fabrication then attempted to contact her several time to ensure the receipt of the product via UPSThen, on 06/30/she text messaged Babcock Fabrication with verification that she had received the packageMrs*** then proceeded to explain her dislike of the final productShe also expressed that the product "Appears that it cannot beinstalled" withinher desired spaceMyself and Mrs*** then exchanged seventeen more text messages as I attempted to correct any portion of the product to meet her satisf actionEven after cross referencingthe original design, there were no deviations by Babcock FabricationMrs*** was simply unhappy rega rding the overall design that she sent to BabcockFabricationWe strive to provide the upmost customer service regardless of fault or perspectiveand therefore the request was made for Mrs*** to send the item back to us for changesBetween 06/05/and 06/21/there were then thirty text messages exchanged between usBabcock Fabrication requested she send the product back in five of those text messages and Mrs*** persistently chose to continue her rant on why she doesn't believe the product can be installed and she isjust too busy to send the item backBabcock Fabrication then sent a follow up in voice for total charges and Mrs*** responded with her desire to ONLY pay for materials and she would keep the productSince Text messages and emails went unanswered, we attempted to contact Mrs*** Via phone several times with no answer/returned callOn 06/21/Babcock Fabrication received partial payment in the means of a check with an amount that only covered materialsThe product was still not received back for modifications. When contacting Mrs*** via text message, she responded with the following: "My mother is back in the hospital and the furthest thing from my mind is the frame for my porcelain tray, but to get you to stop harassing me I am going to stop tending to my terminally ill mother and deal with youWe are not interested in spending any additional funds on this projectThe frame has now exceeded the cost of the trayMy husband may carry the framehome with him or I may throw in in a box with some other things that I mail to Phoenix at some point or I may ask my contractor if he knows someone who can trim the "CLAWS"We haven't even removed the plastic wrap at this pointIt is just not a priority..."Babcock fabrication then responded with:" I am sorry to hear about your mother,I will prayfor herAs for the brass fixtureyou and I agreed upon a business transaction on good faithYou were referred to me by good people, and I have done absolutely everything I can do ensure you have been taken care of because of this relationshipPlease understand that this is my business Take care of your mom and when you have time, drop the brass fixture in the mail for design changes and I will hold up my end of the dealOtherwise, please fulfill the total invoice amountThank you."Babcock Fabrication then sent another invoice representing the first partial payment and remaining a mount dueMrs*** responded by paying the remaining a mountIncluded with that payment was a letter from her husband Mr*** threatening myself with a restraining court order if I contacted his wife any furtherBabcock fabrication has accepted full payment for the item and has not contacted Mrs*** as requested by Mr***'s written letter. This experience was unlike any other business relationship in our history of businessLet this be a lesson to others Never allow customer to communicate via text message as a sole means of communicationBabcock Fabrication will continue to provide a high quality of work that many of our customers have gown accustom toWe will also continue to treat our customers with the greatest respect and commitment to honestyLet this also be a public record that this is not the first time Mrs*** has been dishonest with Babcock Fabrication, and many other contractors. It is not about the money in this case, it is about doing the right thing and being held accountableBabcock fabrication will have no further contact with the *** Family as their motives and tone do not align with people of quality character. As outlined above, we have taken every step to ensure Mrs*** was given the opportunity
to send the item back for changesBabcock Fabrication also took many extra steps to fulfill untraditional requestsExample: We picked up item from antique shop at no charge despite a long commuteWe also considered communicating via text message for the entirety of the projectWe had the item professionally packed and shipped to New York despite no prior knowledge of needing to do soWhen we learned of Mrs***s dislike for the product, we immediately offered to receive item back for changesI now ask the Revdex.com to consider abolishing this outlandish complaint by the *** FamilyID # ***Thank you
