Review: After finishing a load of wash in this establishment, I proceeded to take my clothes out of the washing machine. As I took my clothes out of the wash and into a laundry basket, I realized there were brown pellets falling out of my clothes. I smelled one of the pellets to try and figure out what they were and to my surprise it smelled like dog droppings. I don't currently own a dog, however I have grown up with dogs and therefore familiar with the smell. I emptied my clothes from the washing machine and immediately placed them in the next washing machine to wash my clothes again. Not yet starting the new load of wash, I went to the employees of the establishment to let them know what I discovered. The employees simply chuckled at what I had just told them. I asked them for compensation for the extra load of wash that I was now forced to do and the extra detergent package that I had to purchase. One of the employees (who turned out to be the [redacted]) immediately replied that I would not be compensated and that in fact it was my responsibility to check in the washing machine before I inserted my clothes. After walking back to my clothes, one of the employees came to the washing machine. She simply picked up the pellets and didn't clean or even attempted to spray the inside of the washing machine. Unaware of what had just happened another customer came in and simply placed his clothes in the washing machine. I have used this business for many years-8 years-and very surprised and frankly repulsed in the way they handled this particular incident. Furthermore, it makes me think deeply and question the sanitary conditions of this laundromat.Desired Settlement: I would like to be financially compensated. I spent $2.50 for the washing machine and $1.00 for the laundry detergent. I would also like an apology for the way in which the [redacted] handled the situation.
