Review: On Jan 30, 2016, I took my car to Babylon Auto Sales & Services to change the Oil pump Seal. When the Job was done, I told the mechanic "Jose" who worked on my car, "The engine is making noise that I've never heard before". Also, I found the oil pressure warning light ON. I added Engine oil, but then the problem was not fixed.

I immediately called the shop, to share this information. Jose told me he would "take care of everything, come at 10 a.m. tomorrow", Sunday, January 31, 2016.

I went to the shop at 10 a.m. and waited there until 12:00 pm. The shop was closed. I kept calling all day, no success.

On Monday, February 1, 2016, I had my car towed to the garage. Brian (another Babylon mechanic) worked on the car. He advised that when he took the oil pump apart, he found that Jose had re-assembled the oil pump incorrectly after removing it to replace the seal. Brian tried to correct Jose’s mistake by reassembling and reinstalling the oil pump. Unfortunately, the incorrect assembly of the oil pump had already added a lot of mechanical stress on various oil pump parts and broke the timing cover, causing damage to the engine.

On February 26, 2016, I heard a horrible noise in the engine and my car broke down. I called for roadside assistance. At my request, the tow truck transported my car to the shop. I chose to have my car moved to the same shop because I am holding the shop responsible for this breakdown.

Six days later, on March 3rd, I came to the shop and found that the car had not been, nor would be, worked on. I subsequently had a tow truck move my car out of the garage.

On Monday, March 7, 2016, I spoke to the owner in person about the engine damage caused by Jose. He literally told me that he had instructed them not to work on my car because it is not an easy job, and it is not worth it.

On Monday, March 14, I sent the business a "Restitution for Damages" letter asking for a resolution. I haven't heard from the Business, even though I requested to be contacted before March 21, 2016Desired Settlement: 1- Babylon arrange to tow my car to its shop (or another certified repair shop I trust) at Babylon’s expense;

2- All repairs made necessary by the events discussed herein are made appropriately and timely;

3- All repairs expenses are absorbed by Babylon alone;

4- Babylon reimburses me for all towing expenses, rental car costs, and other expenses resulting from the faulty repair

The estimated Total is $1878+$35/day starting from March 28, 2016 until the car is fixed (Estimated 3 weeks).
