I have been a customer of this establishment for more than 8 years. I used to go there at least two times a month. They were good to me until my last experience. What happened was that, a week before my last interaction with them, I failed to close my bill before leaving because a friend (who just got there to meet me outside the bar) got into an altercation with another person outside the bar and we left the establishment without me paying them the bill. I had two pitchers in the establishment which is about 32 dollars before tax when I left. I honestly forgot that I didn't pay them until we get to DC. It was late to get back to Virginia and I also didn't feel like it is a big deal since I always go there, and all the bartenders know me. So I said I am pay them next time. I went back next week on Saturday and I told the woman bartender ( who was serving me the week before ) that I didn't pay the bill last time I was there, I apologized to her, and tell her that I can pay it right there. She said, no problem and I can pay it later when I leave. I thought everything was cool and stayed there for more than four hours drinking and having fun until a male bartender ( by the name Jose) showed up with a receipt who was very nasty and disrespectful. He demanded that I have to pay him a bill from last time. I said I didn't refuse to pay and I already talk to the bartender who served me last time that I am gone pay her with my current bill. He said, I have to pay this bill first to him in a very disrespectful manner. I didn't want to create an altercation so I accepted the bill. The bill was showing 68 dollars so I called him back to tell him that it was only 2 pitchers that I owed them but before I finish explaining to him he grabbed my phone from the bar and started screaming saying that I am not gone get my phone if I don't pay the bill that he brought while spewing profanities at the same time. When I ask him to call the girl who served me he refused to call her and instead he called two knuckle head securities who grabbed me from the back, rough me up, push me, hit me, and took me to another empty room demanding that I have to pay them the bill that he brought in order to leave. I payed them and I left because they were not willing to call the manager stating that he wasn't there. It is only 30 dollars that they over charged me but their unprofessional and disrespectful attitude is unforgivable. After patronizing all those years in their establishment and coming back to pay them their money, I shouldn't have to be treated like that. A respectable business doesn't treat its customers like this. Only thugs and highway robbers act the way they did. My conclusion, not the right place to spend your money.
