Babytime, Inc Reviews (2)

We ordered furniture over 4 months ago and have yet to receive it. We ordered baby furniture on Black Friday. We were told 12 weeks until it comes in. They had to have our money up front. I contacted them via Facebook message to check on the status of our delivery back in January. Was told it would be in at the end of January. Never heard anything back so my mother in law went up there to check first week of February and they told us two weeks it would be in. Said that everything but our dresser and hutch was in their warehouse in Georgia waiting to be shipped out. Went up there again February 20 and it still wasn't in. Was told they were getting a truck that would be in Tuesday February 25. Called back up there Wednesday February 26, was told the truck had broken down and wasn't sure if another one was sent to get the stuff. I'm 34 weeks pregnant with no baby furniture. We asked for our money back but the owner leaves early on Wednesdays. Desired SettlementWe want our money back. We really liked the furniture but since the business has done nothing but give us the run around we just can't deal with them any longer. We need our money back so We can go buy some other furniture that We know we can get that day. Business Response We apologize for the delay in the arrival of the customer's furniture. Unfortunately, we have had some difficulty with communication from the manufacturer, and the truck breakdown and further delay was unfortunate. However, the customer's furniture arrived at our store yesterday. As compensation for the long wait, we agreed to have the furniture delivered to the customer free of charge. The delivery is taking place today. We appreciate the business, and again we apologize for the delay and difficulty in acquiring accurate arrival dates for the furniture.

I ordered furniture over 14 weeks ago. I have been trying to contact Baby Time to inquire about delivery and no one has responded in 2 weeks.I purchased $3,811.59 worth of furniture at Baby Time on October 11th, 2014. My order number is XXXXX. The contract states an 8-12 week delivery time, and I paid for delivery and setup. It has been over 14 weeks, and I have gotten no furniture and no contact.I was told the company lost its lease and was moving, but when trying to call and inquire about the furniture status, I was met with a voicemail that promised to call me back. I have left several messages and sent an email, simply asking when to expect my furniture, and no one has contacted me. I've been trying to talk to someone for over 2 weeks now, and I cannot seem to get in touch with a person. We paid entirely for this furniture, which includes a floor model recliner that was discontinued. We agreed to buy it in that condition because we liked it, and I'm additionally concerned that if we even get this furniture, that the chair will be in poor condition as we do not know where it is currently being held. I did not agree to buy it in the condition it may have gotten in after moving stores and ending up wherever it is. What I am requesting a RESPONSE and COMMUNICATION with the seller, and to receive my furniture ASAP, as my wife is very pregnant and if we cannot get this order fulfilled we need time to go elsewhere and be refunded. I feel slighted for paying for a service I did not receive (8-12 week delivery promise), and therefore do not think I should have to pay for that delivery fee when and if it happens. If this order cannot be fulfilled and we cannot come to a reasonable agreement, I would like my money back in full immediately. It is completely unprofessional to ignore a customer after they have already paid and the seller did not fulfill his/her end of the sale. Desired SettlementI want my furniture, barring a very good reason for the delay, in the next week. I need it delivered and set up, a service I paid for, but I want the delivery fee refunded to me as it was not fulfilled in the manner in which it was paid (with the promise for delivery by 12 weeks). If this cannot be done, I want a full refund immediately. Business Response As customer indicated, the business lost its lease and discontinued business at the location. Unfortunately, when we did so, we had numerous issues retrieving telephone messages and were slow to respond to some customers after closing. Additionally, this particular manufacturer was extremely late in shipping merchandise. Shortly after this complaint was filed, we were in communication with the customer. Also, the manufacturer failed to send us one of the items ordered, so we (at considerable additional expense) located and purchased the missing item from a retailer that had it in stock in[redacted] and had it shipped to our warehouse. The customer is receiving delivery of his goods this week. Thank you.
