This man literally turned our retirement dream home into a nightmare. He used advances from our building loan to work on other projects he started after contracting with us. He claimed in on meeting he had no money to work on my home, needed an advance a week after a 25K advance that he said was locked legally due to a divorce he was going through. On a phone conversation with his workers in another state he took during our meeting, in front of my wife and I, he stated to his workers there was money deposited to purchase doors and windows for that project. But not ours?

Now he's a realtor? Avoid. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Contractor owed money back to consumer for items paid by consumer under allowances of contract. This contractor completed a log home for me in early April 2015. I paid for various items that were allowances under the contract but were not completed by the contractor. The amount owed back to me is approximately $20,000. Items not completed by contractor included flooring, well, septic and some appliances and lighting fixtures. Despite demand the contractor has failed to return the money owed to me for items paid but not received under the building contract. Desired SettlementReturn of $20,000 paid to the contract for allowances that were not completed by the contractor and had to be completed by the homeowner.

Failure to refund our money after contract was terminated based on failure to perform job dutiesOn 5/1/14 my husband and I entered a construction contract with [redacted] to build our dream log home. After entering an agreement and paying him the first draft of 30,000 dollars Mr.[redacted] became increasing harder to contact. We sent multiple emails, texts and left voice messages. Once calls were returned he stated he was in the hospital. My husband and I decided to precede with [redacted] as everyone gets ill, however things never improved. Mr. [redacted] failed to pay for our building permit however proceeded with digging a basement. The county doubled the fines and mr. [redacted]'s answer no big deal ill just pay it, which never happened. Additionally when the log trucks arrived mr. [redacted] did not rent the proper fork lift to take the logs down. My dad had to get his tractor to assist. On September 16th we fired mt. [redacted] for ongoing negligence, inability to communicate, going missing for weeks at a time, digging a basement without a contract, renting improper fork lift, not arranging proper companies to complete projects. Mr. [redacted] agreed to the terms and signed a letter on 9/16/2014 stating he would pay us back in 30 days. Thirty days have come and gone and we have no money. He tells us the check is in the mail. Then he says he is in [redacted]. He scheduled to met with us to but failed to show texting 30 minutes prior that he was in [redacted]. We want and deserve our money back. Building our dream home has become our worst nightmare. His failure to pay has delayed our building process and lengthened our stay in a rental property.Desired SettlementWe seeking a full refund with an itemized statement of how much the cost was to dig the basement. If we have to proceed with a lawyer we will then be adding that to our cost. Business Response There was a delay in the construction of the home for alot of reasons. We got the final plans from the loghome company 3 weeks late. The homeowner said the lot was cleared for the house, which it was not. We waited 3 weeks for him to find someone to do that. I went down to the permit department to get the permit , had to get all subs to get permits. They called said that had been done, but had not. I was called by the permit departmentto say the permit was ready, when I got there I was informed that one sub hadn't gotten his permit. When I got the call from the permit I told mthe basement contractor to start the basement while I got the permit. When I found out the permit was not ready I call the grading men to stop digging the base. The home owner was suppose to have a road in place for the deliver of the house package, the road was not accessible for the trucks to do that. We had to off load 2 trucks beside the road. I had to rent another machine to reload the material onto a smaller truck to carry it to the job site. I put the deposit in anescrow account until I started the job and told the homeowners that and it would be 30 days before I could get it out. They called me 30 days wanting the money I told them I was in mFla and would mail them the check. They wanted to me on 10/20/14 and I told they that I would. The job I was working on wasn't finished so I wasn't albe to meet them.I mailed the refund to them on 10/17/14 from Fla.I got a text message on 10/22/14 telling me they had received me check. Consumer Response Please know that we did receive a check for 25,000 dollars, however we paid [redacted] 34,000. We have yet to receive an itemized statement. Also of note we did have a road. [redacted] failed to rent the proper equipment to take the logs off. 2 Transfer trucks made it down the drive but due to the improper equipment and extended time it took to take the logs off the other 2 trucks had to park at the end of the drive. The new contractor has processed with the same road. Additionally other families live off this road and drive up it daily. Secondly as a contractor is was [redacted]'s job to schedule the land for clearing. He stated that the crew he hired from Greensboro to dig the basement would clear the land for an additional fee, when they arrived they were not aware of this conversation. My husband and I finally had to find a person to clear the land and pay that 1500 dollar fee out of pocket. Lastly the permit was not purchased. The basement was dug with no permit. A fee was placed against our name, doubling the cost. The county called Mr. [redacted] on numerous occasion telling him he needed additional information. He also did not have proper insurance to proceed with getting the permit. This required an additional 2 weeks on his part. Overall our experience with Mr. [redacted] was horrible. We are still waiting on an itemized statement as promised as he has not done 10,000 dollars worth of work. Business Response The 2 trucks that was able to make the turns were smaller trucks. Two trucks that had all the long material were not able to make some of the turns to get to the job site. The drivers told us after seeing the road that they couldn't go down them. The lift I rented would lift the material but couldn't get around in the mud, because it rained all day. There are families that live on the path but not on the part the house is being built. In my contract it states I don't do any grading or clearing. There was several large trees that had to be removed before we could dig the basement.I didn't know there was a problem with the insurance, when I found mout I told the comlaintant that I would get it taken care of. I met with homeowner and told him that I was mgoing to pick up the permit and start the job, he stated he wanted out of the contract.

Will Not return my deposit of 10% to retain his services for building my log home.I entered into a contractor agreement with [redacted] on Sept 4, 2013 to retain services to erect a log home shell. I gave him a deposit for $ 4,670.00 to do this. On or about March of 2014 I changed my mind about having Mr. [redacted] do the work. After my decision I contacted Mr. [redacted] to inform him that I had changed my mind and asked him for my deposit back. he said that he would refund me my money. I waited 3 weeks and no money. I all so wrote him a letter and sent him a self addressed and stamped envelope asking for my money. I have made several attempts to contact him with no success. I e-mailed him in Oct of 2014 to inform him that I wanted my money back and have giving him enough time to do so. I told him that I would be contacting a lawyer and the Revdex.com. Still no response.I all so have a copy of my canceled check with Mr. [redacted]'s signature on the back. He had no problem taking my money. All I want is for him to send me my money back. If I have to I will take him to small claims court and it will cost him a lot more than what he owes me. Desired SettlementI want Mr. [redacted] to refund me the amount of $ 4.670.00 dollars that he owes me.

We contracted with Mr. [redacted] to construct a log home on our property at [redacted]. The contract was for turn-key construction and Mr. [redacted] advised us it would take approximately 4 to 6 months to complete. The construction began approximately the third week of Sept., 2015, and the job is still not finished. The problem I am having is:- Mr. [redacted] will not answer my phone calls nor will he return my calls when I leave a message.- Last month (May), I sent Mr. [redacted] the final draw sheet from our bank for his signature and I sent Mr. [redacted] copies of all receipts for items I purchased as per my allowance. Desired SettlementAs per his contract, Mr.[redacted] owes me $12,135.16. His final payment from my bank is $12,926. I would like Mr.[redacted] to: 1. Mr.[redacted] needs to send me the signed draw sheet for my bank. He has the copy. He just needs to send it to me. 2. Mr.[redacted] needs to send me a good check in the amount of $12,135.16. Once I have the check from the bank in the amount of $12,926 I will send it to Mr.[redacted].. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.[redacted]) [redacted]) [redacted] (cell)[redacted] Business Response Contact Name and Title:[redacted]/OwnerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]I have sent a check to Mrs [redacted] and a copy of the signed paper for the Bank. The house has been Completed.Consumer Response Good Morning,We have resolved the issues with Mr.[redacted] and are quite satisfied with his work. We have received many compliments on our new home. Trying to construct a log home during the Upstate New York winter was a challenge, but we finished within a reasonable time frame. We would like you to know that the construction crews sent up by Mr. [redacted] were friendly, courteous and did good work. We enjoyed working with the men. Thank you for your help and have a good day.[redacted] and [redacted]
