Although this complaint is considered closed, the business did not do what was agreed upon to settle this complaint as stated by *** of Back Country Photography in her response to the Revdex.com on October 10, that half my money would be returned via a check within days. It is now November 17, and I still have not received a check for the return of my money Would you please re-open the complaint and add the above stated information to it? As I predicted up front *** did not return any portion of my money, although she has said, countless times that she will. Other potential customers of Back Country Photography should know not to pay her up frontThey should make sure all services are acceptable & pictures received before paying a single penny.Thank you again for your time.Sincerely,*** *** very unsatisfied customer of Back Country Photographyof New Castle, PA

I accept the partial return of my money in the amount of$57.00, but not without prejudice. No where in the conversation notes sent by *** did I indicate that I wanted her to crop out my son’s belly roll (as worded by her); rather as you can see in the notes my words were “can you make the pic a lil longer to the bottom of his shirt so it doesn’t stop right at the plump of his belly”. People crop pics everyday to remove portions they are not pleased with, this is normal, and as a photographer she should know thatAlso, never did I mention my daughter’s scar, nor would I (that is part of her & is in every professional picture I have ever purchased ofher); what I did say as indicated by the conversation notes sent by ***was: can you remove the redness and any blemishes (which is a suggestion when pics are being edited). Also, I never said, I do not like my children’s smiles. What I said was, Iwas not happy that my son didn’t smile in the one’s by himself, hence why Iasked her to crop him out from the one with his sister to make an individualpicture of him with a smile; which yes, she did so. However, all of this was discussed upon my first review of the pictures. In the mean time, I kept intouch with *** periodically indicating we were still reviewing the pictures;and her response to me was to take my time. After further review, we as a family (including my children) decided we did not care for the pictures and were not going to order any.*** promised me a refund, not once, not twice, but three times and never sent it; so you can understand why I hesitate to believe that she will send it this time. I further do not understand why she needs yet an additional days tosend me my money; after all, during our last conversation she claims it wasstill in the bank. I can only hope since I was forced to file a complaint with the Revdex.com, this time she will make good on her word. By way of further information to the public, *** of Back Country Photography uploaded & posted on facebook pictures of my minor children without either my husband’s or mypermission. That is why I asked her not to post any more pictures online, but rather email them to me. First, she did not get a release of any sort from my husband or myself to publicly post said pictures of our minor children (which is standard in the photography business to get a signed release). Second, even if I did like the pictures, I felt that was my right to post them not hers. The bottom line is at this point, this complaint was filed for the sole purpose of herreturning my money; why I liked or did not like the pictures isirrelevant. In regards to the recent complaint from Mrs. Stryanec , This is correct I was Hired to do family Photos for Her In June 2014 , The price I quoted [redacted] of course included my time for work , travel and a disc with option to get prints. I had traveled 28 miles to...

there location and spent approximately 1.5 hours with her and her family. I then drove 28 miles back. After returning to my home I began to show [redacted] the photos and the first thing she stated was, can you please make my daughters face less red she is always so red , can you remove the scar form her face? my son Stevens belly roll is showing in his shirt can you smooth this out? I in turn fixed all of the photos she requested having fixed. None of the things that she asked for stated about posing or areas infact they all were in regards of how they looked , she even stated she was not happy with her children's smiles. This is not something me as a photographer am responsible to say to a client no don't smile like that , you belly is showing ect. that day I took over 75 photos , all that were high def. and in good quality , all images she would receive  were fully edited for background, lighting , as well as what she requested. IN response to the client not believing my time is not worth half ? being $57 dollars , hour of travel hour and half of work and 4 hours of editing most certainly is worth $57 dollars. I did at first offer [redacted] a refund and did refuse to retake the Pictures simply because I was not willing to deal with her again. I had waited approximately 2 .5 months for [redacted] to get back to me she had never stated in the several contacts that she was not please with my work but it was how they looked. I am a photographer not a magician I can not change how someone looks .I will be attaching all messaging along with photos I had taken form that day. I will refund [redacted]'s half , but due to her not wanting photos due to her children's clothing , of facial color or smile I will not be responsible. Check made payable to [redacted] will be made with in 30 days . But I will not refund the time I spent photographing and editing to her liking and my travel time,

How did you get the wood on the side where Emi was? Can you Make the pic a Lil longer to the bottom of his shirt so it doesn't stop right at the plump of his belly. I'm a pain in your but huh? Lol


 




On her pic, the last one u posted above...can u cover up the redness on nose and the blemishes on forhead & chin and lighten redness on cheeks? If u can.

I can try . as for her face I can remove blemishes but in a smaller area It is very hard to match the rest of the color . but I will do my best

Review: I hired [redacted] of Back Country Photography to take our family pictures on June 1,2014. I paid her in full up front the day of the photo shoot, $115.00, my check #3930, which cleared my bank on June 2, 2013. The $115.00, by my understanding, $65 was for me to order a disc with all of the pictures and the additional $50.00 was for me to order prints (10 sheets). As it turned out, I did not order any prints and she refuses to return my money even after saying she would. At the beginning she offered to refund my full amount or retake the pictures because she knew I wasn't 100% happy with the pictures. I told her to let me review them and think about which ones I want to order. In the mean time I would periodically text her letting her know I still was planning on ordering. When push came to shove, and I decided not to order the prints, I offered her to re-take them and she refused saying she was too busy. On Aug. 12, 2014 she once again said,she would refund my money. On Aug.23, 2014, I still had not received my money back and messaged her and received no response. On Aug. 26, 2014, she messaged me back indicating because she felt it was not her fault I did not like the pictures she would only refund me 1/2 my money and the other half would be for time & travel. I explained to [redacted], that although, I did not believe her time was worth 1/2 the money, I agreed and said if she sent me 1/2 we could settle this matter. No matter the reason I do not like the pictures, if it was because our eyes were half shut in most pics, or the fact that there was a person in the background on one, or because I felt she didn't make sure our clothes were adjusted properly as she had us up & down and was very quickly snapping pictures, or if I simply didn't like how we looked in the pictures, the fact is, I did not order any prints and the professional thing to do would be for her to refund 1/2 my money as she said she would do,not once, but three times.Desired Settlement: I am willing to settle for 1/2 my money,$57.50, being returned to me promptly. I do not feel she deserves any of it considering her lack of professionalism, and the fact that she has been using my money for well over three months now. My money (which I do not consider a refund beings I never ordered the prints in the first place)should have been left in escrow until at such time I ordered the prints. Since she has not returned my money, I can only assume she spent it. $57.50 can be mailed to me.
