Mr [redacted] contacted Medicare complaining that our organization had advised him that we intended to pick up our Ventilator (PLV-102)While on a three way telephone conversation with the Medicare representative I aske Mr [redacted] who it was that told him we were intending to pick up our machine that is being rented by MedicareHe response was that he could not remember when or whom told him thatI advised him that the rental unit is never just picked up without giving the client a opportunity to get another dealer to provide him with a ventilatorMr [redacted] beleives that the unit is/was his because he has been renting it for more that monthsI explained that we can not in good conscience just pick up the life sustaining unit without him making arrangement to aquire another unitFurthermore he could not identfy who told him we were going to pick up this unit or the time frame when he was told thatMedicare was satisfied with this complaint outcome, but Mr [redacted] contacted a local TV station to complainThey came to our facility and investigated and this was an unmerrited complaintThis unit he (Mr [redacted] ) is using is a rental unit---and we never stated that we were picking up the unitIf I can be of any further assistance Please call me

I explained that we can not in good conscience just pick up the life sustaining unit without him making arrangement to aquire another unit. Furthermore he could not identfy who told him we were going to pick up this unit or the time frame when he was told that. Medicare was satisfied with this complaint outcome, but Mr. [redacted] contacted a local TV station to complain. They came to our facility and investigated and this was an unmerrited complaint.
