Back Tree Service contacted with [redacted] in a promotion for advertising dollars by giving away 2 trees.  There were 2 winners for these trees.  Mr. [redacted] and the other winner were both asked to set an appointment at the nursery to select the tree they would like.  They were both...

informed that their tree selection would be tagged and held for the fall transplanting.  Both were informed planting of this size should not take place until fall when the trees becomes dormant to maintain good health and success of living.  The other winner followed through promptly to select his tree.  He understood and was very happy to wait until fall.  [redacted] refused to select his tree and demanded immediate delivery and planting.  Through several attempts to set an appt. with this winner, we had to leave it in his ball court to contact us when he is ready to meet.  Several weeks went by before he contacted our office. At that time he spoke harshly with the staff.  He was demanding and irate with the secretary.  The secretary then called me to alert me of this hostile man and I called him from my cell, he did not pick up so I left him a voicemail.   I then returned to my office and while there he called my cell phone and was still very hostile, loud, demanding and irate.  My office staff could hear him from their offices. At that time I called [redacted] to let them know there is a problem with their participant.  I also informed [redacted] of his hostility and demands that were unreasonable, especially wanting tree delivered immediately.  So l then asked [redacted] to handle their participant. I asked [redacted] how we can fulfill the contract between us ([redacted] and Back Tree Service). If his accusations of poor business was true, I would think that working with over 2,500 – 3,000 customer per year, my Revdex.com rate would not be A+. [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The reply from [redacted] confirms the basic truth and fact that he completely dropped the ball on this, feels the need to have lie after lie, and is responding this way because he is embarrassed that he and his company handled this so poorly. He's not embarrassed for my sake but rather that he got caught letting [redacted] down. Now let me write down the lies, remembering that he had $750 of mine for over 4 months and I never had a contract or were told to "come pick out a tree and have it tagged". Why would I lie about anything dealing with this transaction. I bid on the tree, won it, and was looking forward to having it planted in the fall. That's it, nothing more. I certainly didn't want all this hassle, aggravation, no replies from Back Tree on 5 phone calls and 4 emails. It wasn't until the 5th phone call after I mentioned I would be contacting [redacted] and Revdex.com if I didn't get a call back from [redacted] did I finally get a call.To set the record straight, I never was asked to set an appointment at the nursery. How could this occur when I never spoke with [redacted]? I was never informed that I had to come and pick out my tree and have it tagged for fall planting. Moreover, I could I have refused to select my tree when again I was never contacted by [redacted] and told I had to do this? The lies continue when [redacted] said he contacted me several times to set an appointment with me! He says the ball was in my court. Well when there never was any communication on his part or his company, the game (contract in this case which I asked for 3 times and never got one or instructions to "pick out my tree" could never begin.....the ball was never in my court! He then states my demands were unreasonable. Well, I think asking for someone to contact me 4 times via phone and 3 times via email and I get NO REPLY, I cannot honestly say that is unreasonable. When I finally spoke to [redacted], at no time did I demand the tree be planted immediately. Heck, I didn't even know if this tree existed (never saw a contract or was communicated with). To say I became irate is true and TO BE EXPECTED when I have been lied to over the phone blatantly and unjustly. In my life I have never been treated so unprofessionally or poorly. [redacted]'s lack of good administrative and communication skills came back to haunt him in this event. But what upset the most was his repeated lies. Again, why would I fabricate any of this? I was the one being left in the dark with the zero response to my repeated phone calls and emails. I was the one who spent $750 and had nothing to show for it ! Finally, [redacted] told me at the end of our phone call that he was canceling this order. He did not contact [redacted] and ask for hem to "handle the participant". Bottom line, this was a terrible experience for me and I will spread the word to NOT DEAL WITH BACK TREE AKA [redacted]. When I spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] AUCTION they agreed that [redacted] dropped the "ball" on this and apologized to me that they had a merchant like Back Tree as a part of their business associates. [redacted] and [redacted] could not have been more apologetic and have handled this more professionally than the did. I have dealt with 5 other merchants through [redacted] and [redacted] through other items I've won over the years. All have been great and have been very pleasant relationships. Mr. [redacted] is a liar and unfortunately I give his company an "F" rating and will not refer him to anyone!
