Why must I even leave 1 star for this Horrible experience? I needed a quick copy of my Driving Record to email to an Apostille in D.C. to be sent overseas. Background checks.com sent me an incomplete report showing both my name and birthdate could not be verified! I had to have a friend receive the paper copy from the DMV in my home state to be sent to D.C. for Apostille. This cost me a lot of extra time that I did not have! My home state DMV found both my name and birthdate for $5. Background checks charged me $49.99 for a worthless document. I phoned customer service and they refused a refund. These guys are CROOKS! Now, I'm having to open and pursue a claim with my credit card company to get my money back!
Terrible and a waste of time and moneyI ordered a copy of my driving history which cost almost $50, it said it would take up to hours to processNot only did I not even get a confirmation email for the order but a week went by and I never heard anything from themI finally email them, which by the way I had to google their contact information because every time I clicked the contact us tab all it did was refresh the page, and I explain the situation and that I haven't heard anything back and it had been over hoursI get an email back a few hours later telling me they weren't able to process it and they were issuing me a refund within 3-business daysSo had I not contacted them first they probably would have just kept my money and never even attempted to contact meOn top of that another week goes by and I still didn't get the refund so once again I email them and this time I complain about the unprofessionalism and tell them I want my money refunded immediatelyThere only response was sorry for the inconvenience and they submitted the refund so I had to wait another 3-days didn't even acknoledge what I wrote or deny that they wouldn't have contacted me had I not contacted them firstI finally got my refund and I will NEVER attempt to order anything from them again they are extremely unprofessional and it seems to me at least in my case that they just wanted to take my money and not even bother provide the servicesHad they made amy effort to contact me or even explain the situation in any way that would have been different but they didn't even bother or seem to really care about what I had to say in my second email and I wasn't rude or disrespectful in any way to just get blown off the way I did
I googled a company to have my driving abstract emailed to meIt cost approx $ On 2/After providing all of my information, payments etc etc I got a message saying that it could take about hours before I received my abstractI thought that was odd being as though there was no language anywhere beforehand advising customers that this could potentially happenImmediately I called because I needed my abstract adapThe representative said there was nothing she could doI ask for a refund because had I knowIt would take hours I would not have paid for itThe rep told me she could not refund my money Fast forward to 2/23, no no abstractI called yet again this time they say "we have a system errorWe will give you a refund I read the same message to the representative that I read to the previous representative asking if this message usually happensHe told me noHe than began to get nasty with me as I asked to speak with a supervisor about the matter I was never transferred the employees told me there was nothing else that could be done AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO ABSTRACT AND DO NOT HAVE THE $THAT I PAID TO BACKGROUNDCHECKS.COM
I'd suggest NOT using this company as it is a waste of time and money and you probably won't recieve what you need by the time you need it
Soo bad. Little sign up verification. Website hardly works a lot of error messages haven't been able to choose my own password yet. I was able to access the report page after two days however, the report had no findings, when it absolutely should have. Stay away from this website.
