I had pictures done in September by this business, and we made payment arrangements verbally, and I told her I would pay her $90 when my husband returned to work after us having a baby and me having surgery she sent me one bill for $90 a second bill for $275 and then I found out through a letter she was charging me $3,396.10 for pictures that was already posted on social media and sent to me via Facebook messenger. Later my mother in law posted on Facebook looking for a photographer and she bashed mine and my husbands name for everyone to see because my mother in law would not use her due to poor quality of work and inappropriate language. I feel by not getting a disc or pictures in hand or signing a contract that this I am not liable for the amount she is saying I owe, and she is not a business person by doing someone this way. She also sent her son to school and had him tell my son parents were going to kick his parents ***, I do not approve of such.

No further contact by the busi I would like emails and communications to stop with this business and her to quit threatening me with collections, court and a zero balance! I never received a disc or pictures in hand therefore there is nothing to pay for because I cannot print the pictures without a copyright.
In September of 2019 I was commissioned by the client for two separate photo sessions. One of her newborn, and on a separate date a second of her entire immediate family. We previously agreed that she would pay me for the two sessions after they were completed. In consideration of our lengthy friendship, I allowed the client to verbally set up a payment arrangement and both sessions were heavily discounted. I issued the initial invoice to the client in the amount of $90 in October of 2019. The invoice remained unpaid and as of November 2019 was delinquent. After several unsuccessful attempts on my part to acquire even a partial payment from her, I never receive any form of payment. I contacted the client several times requesting payment. Each time my requests were met with an excuse as to why payment couldn't be made. The client was given, low resolution proofing copies of all photos that she had agreed to purchase, via multiple social media channels as well as through SMS messages. The client never voiced a dissatisfaction in the photos during any conversation, only her complete satisfaction and happiness. The client obtained one of the images that I had taken from social media, re-edited it to include her deceased father and grandfather in the image, and then re-posted it to Facebook. All without my expressed or written consent. The retouching of the image was sub-par and is not representative of my work. Unauthorized digital manipulation of another's work is copyright infringement. I petitioned Facebook for the removal of the image as it is my sole intellectual property and she did not have and does not have permission to alter my images. Facebook granted my request, deemed the image as my intellectual property and promptly removed it from her profile. She also admittedly saved all the images that were posted to social media and printed them at ***-***'s in store photo kiosk, per her own admission. Due to the unauthorized retouching and the unauthorized printing of the images I issued her an invoice in the amount of $3,396.10. That invoice included charges for two now non-discounted session fees (due to delinquency) for both photo sessions that she received as well as a charge per image that she admittedly printed as well as a penalty fee for copyright infringement. Since payment was never made for the services that were rendered, the USB drive containing the high-resolution images was never relinquished to the client. Once payment is rendered, I will relinquish the drive and send it via USPS to her home address. Until such time as payment is made, I will not relinquish that disk drive to her, as is my right to do so. In rebuttal to her statement that I used my child, as well as her child as a channel to pass along threats of physical violence, that statement is libelous and fraudulent. My child is not an avenue that I pursue as a means of obtaining payments from delinquent clients. It is my opinion that the client has filed this claim in retaliation to me sending her delinquent account to a collections agency in an attempt to recover the debt.
