In all this my electrician could not get the schematics r any info from the company. when my electrician inquired about the light placement, he was informed that I was not getting a light. I heard the conversation and I said why am I not getting a light and they said it’s not on your side contract? I then stated when would the stairs be put in because my drawing showed the stairs would be in prior to the sides being completed at that point I was informed I was not getting stairs because it wasn’t on my signed contract I asked Travis about my winter cover and wiki be able to tell me how to put it on after my pool is complete. I feel like I’m very perceptive and I listened to the way. He answered my question and figure it out. I was not getting a winter cover. on Wednesday, August 20 while Rusty was backfilling I asked him how to add salt to the Perma salt system. Explain explaining to him I didn’t even know where it was. He explained to me that the system is on backorder and that before mine they were five on backorder and now there were six. At this point in the conversation I went inside and I contacted radiant pools to find a location other than Backyard Leisure that sold the pools I reached the most helpful person that I’ve talked to since June about my swimming pool you see my pool was ordered in August is when it was paid for so none of the dates that they had given me prior could’ve ever happened as they did not pay for the swimming pool it was then that I learned so much while I had that gentleman on the phone I ordered and paid for a winter cover.
I would like to inform you that not only did Backyard Leisure ignore my phone calls and my emails but my electricians phone calls and emails went unanswered as well my electrician was smart and did his homework and he texted me I will simply copy and paste his text here: Thank you for providing the information. After consulting with our attorney, we have been advised to decline this job due to the ongoing litigation with the pool company and the lack of necessary details they are willing to provide to ensure your electrical connection meets code requirements.
Our electrical license is extremely important to us, and without proper plans or specifications from the pool company, we would be assuming liability for work that may not be done correctly. While we truly value you as a previous customer and want to help, we cannot move forward under these circumstances.

and somewhere in all of the mix of this, I receive a phone call from Ross he explains he’s just a friend helping out Alan nor Rj now answer their phones or their text messages I asked Ross for an electrician he said he would make sure he sent me one he also asked me to text him a picture of the stairs that I was supposed to get that was on August 11 and he told me the guys would be at my house on the 12th of course no one showed up on the 12th on the 13th I sent him a text message. I will leave it right here.: I’m usually very unhappy when someone from your company doesn’t answer the phone but not having to listen to your voice was absolutely a pleasure. So welcome to the list of liars. I am 1,000,000% pissed off. At this point now you guys are lying to my contractors. That’s a new low one of the weasels that works for Backyard Leisure needs to call me.
The next day he called to inform me that he did not appreciate me calling him names I guess he did not like being called a weasel I said send me a copy of my signed contract he told me I wasn’t listening that I was not gonna text him calling him a name and that I’d better understand I told him that he needed to understand that he was going to send me a copy of my signed contract. As everyone keeps referring to my signed contract.
Today is Friday, August 22. I think I have nine appointments with electricians between tomorrow and next Friday. I should be able to open and close my pool the same weekend with any luck. I do not know what I will do for chemicals at this point. But Rusty suggested that I get a chlorine floater for now while I wait. Rusty is also informed me that when I’m able to find an electrician and he is able to complete the work that he will come out and complete the backfill. When Rusty left my home, I did reach out to Backyard Leisure to find out about the Perma salt system backorder but as usual, no one answered the phone. when I got home Thursday night and turned on the news, I was rather shocked. something as relaxing as a swimming pool, should’ve never been this miserable as a consumer that owned a concrete finishing company for many years, I understand whether I understand whether delays I understand having to push a job. I understand date changes. But I can tell you that every time a job had to be moved or a date had to be changed for any reason the customer was notified. I can tell you if they receive the answering machine while I was out working they received a phone call back that evening. It was on the weekend and I wasn’t available. They received a phone call back Monday morning at the latest.
During this, I have heard that Alan had a partner who stole money from the company was told that RJ became a partner no matter what the reason, no matter what the excuse own it because communication goes a long way between all the lies and all the lack of communication from Backyard Leisure there’s no way with a clear conscience that I could ever recommend this company to anyone. Am I worried that after I wrote this review that they will never be back to finish? Absolutely I have hundreds of pages between texts and emails if anyone ever wants to see them.
