Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/09/25) */
We had previously looked over this claim in 2014 when it was first brought to our attention. The parts were still under warranty with our company but the customer chose to take the vehicle to another shop of her choice. Attached is a copy of...

the letter we sent out to her in response to this situation on March 19, 2015. Our decision is final in this matter.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/09/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do no accept the response from the business because:
1) they are not addressing their poor customer service (both from the mechanic who was rude to me, as well as John [redacted] from Auto Fix who ignored my letter and the first request from the Revdex.com).
2) the car part itself (which they keep saying was under warranty) was not the issue, the actual service from the shop was the issue. And after two repairs and over 12 hours total of wasting my time, I think a second opinion is more than warranted. To that end, I have another mechanic who repaired the problem (the third time) and the door has been fine ever since.
3) The mechanic PUT MY DOOR BACK INCORRECTLY and left parts in the bottom of the frame of my door (not even put but pack in proper position)that was also recorded and verified by the second auto shop.
If they cannot reimburse me the money for doing such a poor job as well as get back to me in a more reasonable time frame, then perhaps this should be settled in a more legal manner.

Case# [redacted] - [redacted] Id #XXXXXXXX
This letter is in response to the complaint #XXXXXXXX for work that was performed on July 1, 2016 at our Highland Autofix facility....

Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for a vehicle inspection to determine the origin of the leaks he noticed. His complaint was that the power steering was not working properly and he thought it was the source of the leak.
The inspection of the vehicle revealed numerous problems, which we communicated at that time to be of a concern. The most important issue at the time was denoted to be an antifreeze leak, which was spraying antifreeze on to the drive belt for the engine. As this happens, it causes the drive belt to slip and transfer problems to the power steering, alternator, air conditioning and water pump components. Mr. [redacted] agreed to the needed repairs for the antifreeze leak and they were performed. At that time, the service invoice indicated the need for more repairs, including power steering work.
Mr. [redacted] returned 3 days later with the vehicle, with the complaint of power steering problems. We inspected the vehicle and reconfirmed the need for further repairs. Mr. [redacted] agreed to the power steering repairs and the repairs were performed.
Mr. [redacted] later complained that he felt that the coolant repair was not needed, and asked for a full refund. We reminded Mr. [redacted] of our inspection that revealed multiple concerns for the vehicle, and that the antifreeze repair would have been the most important start for repairs to the vehicle.
Understanding his frustration, the District Manager, [redacted], became involved and looked into the situation. After discussing the

concerns, it was determined, by [redacted] that all the work was needed and authorized by Mr. [redacted], knowing that the car had multiple problems and needed further repairs. [redacted] indicated to Mr. [redacted] that parts were ordered and installed per his authorization and could not be returned. Therefore, no refund for service could be offered.
Although the work was performed that Mr. [redacted] knew and authorized to be completed, we feel for the situation and as a good faith gesture, we were and still are willing to offer an in store credit to offset some frustration from this expense on his vehicle.
Thank you for your concern in this matter,

[redacted] General Manager
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 16, 2016/09/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I realize the car had many issues the only issue I wanted to correct on 7/1/16 was the power steering leak, I am not a mechanic so when Auto Fix, [redacted] explained to me that the problem was not the power steering but the problem was the manifold gaskets not the power steering, that oil from the gaskets was causing the belts to slip, I stated that I THOUGHT the problem was the power steering leak [redacted] said no I needed this repair to fix the car... so I in good faith trusting Auto Fix to correct the power steering problem agreed to the repair, I did NOT bring the car in to fix a manifold gasket leak only the power steering issue which [redacted] assured was the manifold gasket, after bringing the car home I was surprised the power steering was still leaking, I will not use this shops services again so in house credit is not acceptable I would like a full refund on the labor cost of the manifold gasket repair which I was falsely lead to believe would correct the power steering issue.
