Badger Basement Systems

We had Badger Basement repair our leaking basement in 2010. I have no complaint what so ever. They showed up on the date and time promised. They always had workers who were polite and did a nice job with the yearly inspection. They may cost a little more but it is well worth it.

I had work done on my basement by Badger Basement in 2011. They replaced the interior drain tile and installed a double sump pump with battery back up in my basement in same well as original pump. One of the two sump pumps failed after 4 years. It cost me $300 to replace plus the $123 service call (service call would have been $0 if cost of repair $500 or more). I reluctantly agreed to replace pump with a three(3) year warranty after discussing issue with Dale the serviceman. I'm giving Badger Basement the benefit of the doubt here, but if the new pump fails in three years plus, I'll yank it out with backup and replace both with a regular sump pump like the original one I had that lasted me 27 years and was still running. I give credit to Badger Basement as far as the work they did replacing my drain tile, the crew busted their butts doing the work, but beyond that i'm having second thoughts on their credibility in standing behind their products. They fixed one problem but didn't cure another. My basement walls still absorb moisture through the block after watering or heavy rainfall. Badger Basement cure is to put a thin styrofoam or plastic sheet over affected area, thus covering up the problem, but not fixing it.
One other thing, the dehumidifier they equipped me with is huge at a cost of $1700. I had to replace it three(3) times the first year in 2011 at no cost to me, but should it fail, it would cost me $1700 to replace. That's a lot of money. I have other issues regarding work regarding their plumber, but that is another issue.
If my sump pump fails after 3 years, you can bet I'll have it replaced sans Badger Basement.

Badger basement systems is an honest company and have great expertise that cannot be matched! We had Jesse meet us at the house to look at a problem that we thought was due to foundation settlement. He very carefully looked at the issue and showed us how to take measurement to check the amount of settlement. After taking measurement and hearing everything we had to say, he concluded that we did not need any foundation work because the measurement showed that it had not settled. (The cracks in the drywall have now been reviewed and shown to be attributed to a cause other than foundation settlement.) Jesse's knowledge is superior to the structural engineering firm we had hired to review this issue and also a second foundation company that wanted to charge us $20,000 to fix an issue we didn't even have.
