Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Their 8,dollars is a minor dent which came from the substantial profit they made on sale the our windows They did in fact paint the replacement sashes, that are now having similiar issues as the old onesWe never agreed for you to do that anyway, that was [redacted] Beinborn The whole window would have needed to be replaced to have any effectiveness anyway Badger says they are not responsible for windows they sell??? They have supplied window screens that are horrible, sharp mitered edges that scratch paint in the corners, and are ill fitting In addition, they supplied high end Emteck door handles that have to be fixed at least times a year A cracked door upstairs and unpainted window in bedroom that was suppose to be repaired by now, shows the lack of customer service We have been more than patient for 1/years I am quite certain that if these new, expensive windows were in their homes, and looked years old, they would not settle for it either.Regards, [redacted]

Their 8,000 dollars is a minor dent which came from the substantial profit they made on sale the our windows.  They did in fact paint the replacement sashes, that are now having similiar issues as the old ones. We never agreed for you to do that anyway, that was [redacted] Beinborn.  The whole window would have needed to be replaced to have any effectiveness anyway.  Badger says they are not responsible for windows they sell???  They have supplied window screens that are horrible, sharp mitered edges that scratch paint in the corners, and are ill fitting.   In addition, they supplied high end Emteck door handles that have to be fixed at least 6 times a year.  A cracked door upstairs and unpainted window in bedroom that was suppose to be repaired by now, shows the lack of customer service.  We have been more than patient for 4 1/2 years.   I am quite certain that if these new, expensive windows were in their homes, and looked 40 years old, they would not settle for it either.Regards,

Review: Four years ago I had [redacted] Const. renovate our home. We put in Hurd windows at his recommendation, which were bought from Badger Corrugating. Shortly after install we noticed the paint was chipping off windows, [redacted] had his painter paint over them again. Unfortunately the windows started chipping again and with in a year they were painted again. This did not solve the problem, so badger had the sashes replaced, but not the frame. The sashes were somewhat better, but the frames were not. Beinborn says its Badgers problem, Badger says it's Hurd"s problem, and we haven't heard from Hurd. After four years the windows just continue to get worse and there continues to be empty promises and "we will get back to you" commits when I call. They never call me without me reaching out to them.

In addition than the paint issue, we had to have hardware replaced, the ouside color on the new sashes do not match the windows that didn't need to be replaced(stained), and the grills keep falling out and are so poorly put together. We have a good sized home and spent about $60,000.Desired Settlement: They need to replace or repair windows with no cracking or chipping!

Response:

Badger Corrugating Company is the distributor of building materials; we are not the prime manufacture of windows. With that being said, we have done what we could to bring resolution to the issue. The issue is paint not adhering to the windows. Badger had no part of building or painting the windows. To date, I do not have a concrete answer from anyone as to why the paint adhesion is a problem. In 2012 Badger Corrugating Company did, out of pocket, spend $8000.00 to replace the sashes as Hurd would not take full responsibility for the problem. Since that time the same issue of paint lifting has occurred and Badger Corrugating Company has made every effort to get Hurd to step up to the plate. In conclusion, there seems to be no simple solution and again, Badger Corrugating Company had no part in the manufacturing or painting of the windows. If you need to discuss further, please contact me at [redacted] x228 or [redacted]
