Horrible servie, now going on three weeks and still no product! A medical practice this bad should not be able to operate when dealing with peoples health!

Very unprofessional and pushy. The owner, [redacted] becomes rude with you if you ask to take your prescription else where. I enjoy the eye doctor but I'd like to shop around for prices in frames and contacts. I felt very unwelcome there and got the cold shoulder. I will not go back even though I enjoyed the doctor.

There are many things wrong with this practice, with the biggest thing being the owner [redacted]. He does not care about his patient's eyes or their well-being. All he wants is their money. He is very pushy and rude. If you choose not to make a purchase, he will make sure to probe and degrade any other options you are considering. I paid out-of-pocket for my eye exams as well as any products that I purchased from Badger Optical. When I asked for a copy of my prescription, which they do not give out unless you practically beg, [redacted] wrote it. At Badger Optical, the optometrist does not sign off on the prescription. And of course, he wrote it wrong! I pointed the fact out to him and he responded by saying "It's only off by a little. It doesn't matter." He refused to write a new copy for me. Is he a doctor that he would be able to make such a decision? No! He doesn't know a thing about eyes and I will never return to Badger Optical. No one should be treated in such a way and no one should support this business as long as [redacted] is the one running it.

Review: The owner of the business Leo. Charged us 160 dollars for our contacts when our insurance covers up to 150 dollars every twelve months per person on our vision insurance. He then sent in a claim to the insurance for the 160 dollars and never reimbursed us our money. He got paid twice when we shouldn't have had to pay. I called him the same day my husband had to pay for his contacts because I knew it wasn't right and he said he was gping to submit it to our insurance. He sure did, except he kept the money for himself and we were out $160 dollars!!!!! I will be filing a police report for fraud, and did notify our insurance company of their business making fraud claims. I can only imagine how many others he's done this too! We work very hard for our money to be ripped off. I called him and confronted him and he said he would reimburse us with contacts. No thanks! I don't want your contacts I want our money back, we will never go there again.

I hope other people check their insurance claims if they've been going to this business as well if you've been forced to pay out of pocket.Desired Settlement: We want to be refunded our $160 dollars that he billed us and our insurance company. We don't work to have insurance to then get lied too!

Review: During the summer of 2015 I went to visit Sheboygan Badger Optical seeking an eye exam and contacts. I've been going to the Grafton Badger Optical for nearly a decade, and have been nothing but pleased after each visit. This led me to believe that the Sheboygan location would be a nice place to visit because I currently work in that area. Unfortunately, the optometrist was unprofessional and carless during the exam, making it an uncomfortable experience. Due to his hurried attitude, I was given a poor eye exam which resulted in an incorrect prescription. I was given a trial pair of contacts and was told to wear them for a week. They were horrible. The owner then took it upon himself to contact the Grafton location to obtain my previous prescription from a few years back and then guess a prescription that might work for my eyes. I informed him that I'd rather do another exam with a different optometrist, because I was unhappy with the exam I was first given. With no regards for my suggestion, or the health of my eyes, he pushed me to try the estimated prescription, I frustratingly agreed. I was in a bind and just needed contacts, I could at least see out of these with out getting a migraine from straining my eyes to focus on things. I agreed to pick up these 6 months of contacts that I had paid for during my first visit. When I came in to pick up the contacts (that the owner said he would have ready for me), the only thing in my bin were the first incorrect contacts. The woman working didn't know what to do, I ended up having to call the Grafton location, they knew more about what was going on than she did. The lack of organization was mindboggling. I was beyond irritated and decided then and there that I just wanted my money back and I wanted to take my business else where. She instructed me to either call or come in on the next day that the owner would be there. I did just that, I called and spoke with the owner and he said that everything would be taken off of my insurance and my money would be reimbursed. There were no comments made that the eye exam would stay on my insurance, he said "everything". When I went to make an eye appointment with a different eye care company they informed me that the exam was still on my insurance. I called Badger Optical in Sheboygan again to find out what the issue was, he then proceeded to tell me "you had an eye exam, whether you liked it or not". Not only did he say such a rude remark as that, but while I was talking he picked up another phone call with out telling me. As I paused waiting for a response from him I realized he was talking to someone else. I then asked in complete shock, to make sure that he actually did that, he saw nothing wrong with it. There was not one apology made on his end and not one moment in my experience where I felt valued. I understand that he has to pay the optometrist, but he also needs to care about his customers and their eyes.Desired Settlement: The exam needs to be removed from my insurance.
