I would love to find some lumber even close to that as good as pictured, I did go through
the pile and couldn't find one board as nice as those stacks in the picturesI don't expect it to be perfect, but everything I saw was unusableBottom line, I was told wood as good as in the pictures would cost more than the price shown on the pictureThat's advertising&nb

We use ***list as a advertising tool to drive business to our web site which has a lot more detailed information. The complainant states "They show a picture of lumber with a grade of FAS but turns out the grade is # or common full of knots and defects and practically unusable"
This
statement is incorrect: If you look at "all" the photo's it clearly shows a mix of FAS and # and the price for suchThe complainant refers to a picture of lumber showing no knots, or defects and describes that as FASThe National Hardwood Lumber Association defines FAS board as 1/3% of the board is usable and they also describe the # board as 2/3% of the board is usable which the complainant said is quote " practically unusable"There is grade of lumber which is free and clear of knots and defects and it's known as "Select"These boards as the name implies are a lot harder to come by and generally will cost moreSince select boards are harder to come by we do not advertise because we only will have them on a limited basisWhen we do get select boards we usually don't have a lot of them and they usually will sell very fast without advertising. When we do have select we charge $more a bf for select, hardly what I would call "A LOT MORE" as the complainant stated
The complainant states our photos on ***list and web site have been the same for over a yearIt amazes me that someone so dissatisfied with our operation would study and watch our ads and web site for over a year with such a watchful eye!! Anyway again the complainant is incorrect, We have changed these photos and do so when we see the needSince the complainant is so experienced with our web site he must have seen the first paragraph on the "Lumber Products" page! In this paragraph the words "CALL, CHANGE OF INVENTORY AND CALL FIRST appear "SIX" different times!!! Then for extra added measure the last sentence states and even in RED letters.. Our inventory changes so fast that just because the web site shows it is stock, it could have sold minutes before!! so call first to make sure.
We could take pictures at am upload them to the site and while they are being uploaded customers are buying lumber and now the photo is different
In my opinion this man "thinks" FAS is free from knots and defects, when in fact FAS can be a board the is 1/3% usableThis means the remaining 2/3% of the board has knots, defects, checks, somethingIt's also my opinion he wanted "select" which is free from knots, defects, etcbut it's obvious from his describing the grades he's unaware of all grades. It's hard to tell from photo's including ours what grade lumber is.
The day the complainant came here looking for cherry and oak, he was rude, smart mouthed and hateful to the staffIf he had been reasonable the staff would have helped him go through the stack and he would have found FAS and # boards and we would have sold him all he wantedThen again he has a different definition of FAS than the rest of the lumber industry.
We have been in business over years full time and years part timeThis is a second career for me, the first was years in sales and marketing! We have thousands of satisfied, happy, returning customers along with several commercial customersWe ship all over the U.S and had shipments out of the countryThis is the first customer of this nature we have dealt withWe're a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Assoc, the Ohio Valley Lumber drying AssocMember of the Pro Sawyer Club with Wood Mizer and was the "featured" sawmill on Wood-Webs web site in University of Kentucky teaches lumber grading classes at our operation twice a year.
