Review: I went to Bagel Man on [redacted] in Danbury, Ct to pick up an order that my co-workers and I had placed and when I got there I asked to speak to the manager that I had already spoken to on the phone because the original order was screwed up and the female manager told me on the phone that she would replace the order. I told the manager that the 4 Chicken cutlet deluxe on grinder sandwhiches we had ordered were burnt and not up to par for eating. She then asked me how I wanted them and I told her to replace them with everything bagels instead of the grinders. I head down to the business and when I got there one of the employees asked me," if the new order was (1 bagel and 3 grinder sandwhiches".I told the employee, "that once again the order was wrong" and she asked me if "I would wait while either they make new ones again or get the manager". I told her that I could not wait because I was working and I had passed my lunch time and I needed to get back to work. The employee went to get the other manager who is a male and as he was coming out from the kitchen he said," Who the [redacted] is this lady that has a problem", he then approached me and asked me , " What the [redacted] is your problem?" I told him what had happened and that I would just like my money back and he started yelling at me and using profanity saying that he was not going to give me back my money and that I either take the sandwhiches that were replaced or I can keep the ones that were originally done. I asked him to stop yelling at me and he told me to "get the [redacted] out of his store and to never come back". This all happened while ther were other customers there. I simply took the sandwhiches and left the store because I felt threatened by the way he spoke to me. As I was at the door leaving I asked him, "If this was the way he treated his customers/" and he just told me to get out of his store.

Desired Settlement: I would like for this business to refund mine and my co-worker's money that we paid for the 4 chicken cutlet deluxe's that cost each $7.75 plus the 6.35% tax. And we would like an apology in writing. [redacted], this is our place of work and we are a community health center that service the insured, uninsured low income families in the community. In regards to the complaint made by [redacted], there are a bunch of errors made that she neglected to mention. First of all, she did call the Bagelman, Inc., on [redacted] which was her first mistake. She thought she called the Bagelman on [redacted] When she got to the [redacted] store, she was already annoyed because she went to the [redacted] store first, thinking she had called there. She wanted them to make her the 5 sandwiches, when they refused and told her to go to [redacted], she was not happy. She ordered 5 Chicken Deluxe Sandwiches, four of which she wanted on a wedge, the other, an everything bagel. That is exactly what we made. She later called complaining that there was no lettuce or tomato on any of the sandwiches. I tried to explain to her that lettuce and tomato do not come on the sandwiches, unless specified. She started yelling at me saying that the sandwiches always come with lettuce and tomato. She said she orders from [redacted] all the time, and thats how they serve it. Thats when I realized we had a problem. I told her that I would be more than happy to put lettuce and tomato on the sandwiches, at no charge, if she would like to bring them back. She kept yelling over me telling me that there wasn't any dressing on the sandwiches either, the bread was burnt and the sandwiches were uneatable. I then asked if every single one was like that, and she said the one on the everything bagel was fine. I kept trying to apologize to her, but she kept screaming at me, saying some very horrible things about my business and my ability to cook. Clearly, she was upset because she called the wrong store from the beginning and was taking it out on me. I have been in business for more than 28 years, and I always put my customer first. Whenever we make a mistake, I always apologize and correct the situation. [redacted] was extremely agitated, and refused to listen to me. She said that they only took one bite out of each sandwich, and could not eat them. I kept trying to convince her to reorder the sandwiches, free of charge so that we could rectify the situation. She yelled at me even louder, telling me that she was on the other side of town and wanted me to deliver them. I told her that I could not deliver them because that is not our territory. She didn't care. Then I offered her every option I could to take care of this matter, even offering her to come in at any other time, at her convenience, and I would still replace the order. Finally she agreed to re-order the sandwiches. I repeated the order back to her three times. The order was to be Chicken Cutlet Deluxe's with lettuce and tomato on wedges. I asked her to bring the uneaten sandwiches back, because if in fact they were as bad as she claimed, as a business owner, I needed to know. She came back with the sandwiches more than 3/4 eaten and just demanded her money back. She had us remake the sandwiches, and now did not even want them. She wanted her money back on food she had consumed. When we refused, she started yelling that our store was nothing but a "dump" anyway and would never eat anything from here again. We had customers in the store at the time whom she was making very uncomfortable. We then asked her to leave. And, by the way, she take the newly made sandwiches with her.
