In regards to this invoice, when the machine was left with us, it did not run all. The customer(*** ***) explained to me that the machine had not been running well, would die while running, and after awhile would restart. He also told me that he had it at another repair
facility for the same problem and that they had installed a new fuel pump. I do not know where. The customer also ask for a regular service on machine. Regular service consists of motor oil change, grease, air filter, pre filter, transmission fluid change if needed, and front gearcase fluid. When we brought the machine into our shop for repairs, we quickly found that the spark plug cap was broken, Polaris part number 3084980 price $44.99. We replace this broken part and the machine started and ran as it should. It was our belief that we had found the problem, and corrected it. Apparently, we were wrong, but we had no reason to think so. We found a problem and we fixed it. If there is another problem, and it sounds like there is, we would be happy to look at the machine, but I am not going to do it for free as requested. The customer was billed for the requested service and broken spark plug cap, if the spark plug cap we replaced was defective, that would be a case of warranty and indeed should be replaced for free. Any other repairs needed would be considered new and not previously charged for.
