30 years. I personally, the "receptionist" that she spoke to, am one of the owners who has been quoting these rates since 1986. When [redacted] went out to look at the job, he told them that it could be done within the time for the minimum charge, not that it would be $150.00.
I did end end up only charging $140.00 per hour (still with a minimum, though) because we were able to use only a van instead of a full size moving van.
This lady could have had these items moved when we were there the first time and it would have been cheaper. I'm not sure why she didn't, but then afterward went to one of our employees to hire him to move them "on his own time" instead of through the company. He declined her. I believe that she is simply trying to get the job done cheaper. We have been very fair with her and feel she is due no refund. Check with other legal movers. Almost all have a minimum number of hours on local moves and many are more than two.
