Review: Friday, 1/16/2015, I purchased 4 dragon tea cups for 85.00; I paid in cash at the Green Goddess. At her Bags to Riches Thrift Store, I purchased silver sandle shoes, 2 skirts (black/gray & a Forget-Me-Not blue/navy), plus a Summerfield White blouse; with check #6403 for $144.56 to Bags to Riches. These shopping outting were a friend's attempt at respite for me from dealing with my MUM. MUM/Betty was in/out of hospital/Camarillo Healthcare from 12/20-1/20/15. We were trying to bring her home on Hospice. Bringing Betty/MUM home occurred Tuesday, 1/20/15. I was unable to get back to either Bags or Green Goddess thrift stores, since I was personally involved in Hospice and care for my MUM. Betty/MUM was a dear friend & Mother for 38 years; she had lived with us for the past 8 years. She died Thurs., 1/22/15. After dealing with family/friends, planning a Funeral here--1/31/15--and a Memorial Mass in Seattle for 2/28/15, I was unable to return to either C[redacted]a's shops until Thursday, 2/19/15--clothing was the last thing on my mind. I returned to owner C[redacted]a's 2nd thrift store, Green Goddess (down the block from Bags shop) to return a blue blouse she had suggested I take with me to try with the Forget-Me-Not skirt that was left at the Bags to Riches thrift store. I purchased a Mita Baby blue jacket from C[redacted]a for $28. She had me pay $140.12 since neither of us could remember payment 1/16/15 for other articles. So I paid C[redacted]a again for articles received 1/16. Total of $140.12 which included the $114.56 paid with check #6403 on 1/16/15. I paid with my debit card over the phone to her Bags thrift store employee. It has been over 2 months since I paid her twice the $114.56. I've several telephone conversations & visits to her shops 3/9,3/16,4/1,&4/15, in attempt to get my money back. C[redacted]a talks about making a mistake, will send refund, needs to check paperwork, & just recaps her personal pains & problems. I understand she operates two consignment thrift stores & is overwhelmed.Desired Settlement: Return my overpayment of $114.56.

Review: On June 20, 2015, I entered the store to consign a purse. I was given a receipt and told to come back within 60 days. The agreement was that if the bag were sold, I would be given agreed amount of $45. If the purse did not sell after 60 days her, C[redacted], (the owner) would return the bag to me. After about 60 days (August 23), I returned to collect the money (or bag) only to be told that the computers crashed and C[redacted] was not able to access her inventory. Since I understand that things can go wrong, I agreed to come back the following week. After about nine days (Now September) I called the store in advance and spoke to C[redacted]. She stated that she lost her records and was unable to find my purse, then she asked me if I had a receipt (which I did). She said, Oh well then, let me look around for your purse and I will get back to you. A month later (October) I called again, asking C[redacted] if she found my bag. This time she said, Oh yeah we did, we actually sold it a while ago. I said that I would be in to get the $45, and she said, Oh I am stepping out of the store right now, can you come back next month? I said no, I will just stop by real quick, and she stated she would not be there if I came. I ended up calling the store several more times over the month only to be told that C[redacted] was not in or was unavailable, and the employees were unable to assist me with these type of transactions. Then this month (November) I called back, and C[redacted] said to come in her store on Saturday, November 28 after 12 pm and she would give me the $45. So yesterday (11/28) I entered her store and handed her the receipt, she immediately said, my computers have crashed, and I have no cash or checks so I am unable to pay you. Then she started crying and said that it was the third anniversary of her store opening, and she was upset with the amount of business. So now I am at a loss as to what to do. Bottom Line, she took a purse that belonged to me, sold it, kept the money, and will not pay me. This is Theft!Desired Settlement: First, I would obviously like to get my money. Second, after reading the Yelp reviews regarding Bags to Riches and also Green Goddess (sister store) she has done this to many other people. How is this legal? She is stealing from people.

Review: I placed twelve items for consignment in Bags to Riches September 25,2014. I contacted the owner, C[redacted] about receiving my money from the sales through numerous phone calls with no response. On Mary 27, 2015 I went into her store and was given money for four of my items sold. I asked her to return the rest of my items that had not sold. C[redacted] told me she wasn't sure where the items were. I looked through her store and found one of my items and she returned it to me. I went back July 17, 2015 and collected 68.00 for four more of my items. C[redacted] returned three more items to me. That is 11 items. I am missing one more item she needs to pay or return to me. July 30, 2015 I have asked for a detailed receipt showing the amount my items sold for and for my missing item. She said she would mail it to me. No response. I have called and asked for any documentation from her. No response.Desired Settlement: I would like a detailed receipt of the amount my items were sold for and I would like my item that didn't sell returned to me. I have called and stopped by her store with no results. I trusted her with expensive and valuable items. There is no written proof of any transaction from her store. Except my receipt stating I left 12 items for consignment.

Review: On February 1, 2014 I took a Coach handbag to her shop to sell on consignment. She told me that Coach handbags sell well and that she knows she can pay me between $40 and $45 after it had sold. On May 17, 2014, I dropped by the shop to check status and she said she knew my bag had sold, that she was cutting checks that following week but that she had to check the computer which was located at her other store and that she would call me. I did not receive a call nor did I receive a check. I dropped by on May 24,2014 with a friend and she said my handbag sold May 1, 2014 so I would have to wait until June to get paid. I was not thrilled and I vented my frustration towards her. On June 3, 2014 I mailed her a letter via regular mail and certified mail apologizing for my frustration and requesting she mail my check to my home to be received by June 27, 2014. As of June 30, 2014, I have not received payment. Their website states they cut checks on the 20th of each month.Desired Settlement: I want to be paid. Our agreement was between $40.00 and $45.00.
