I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of...

the offer I reviewed appear below.I provided Bail Bonds USA with the bond exoneration form on 4/9/2015 at their request. I am still waiting for the $1000 to be refunded.

Regards,

we have already settled the complaint with the customer. please refer to the customer for further details.

Issue has been resolved with this customer.

Please contact customer we have resolved the complaint.

There are times when there is nothing we can do to help satisfy the customer. This is one of those times.  The customer is stating that he brought us an exoneration to the court.  The fact that he is doing this shows that we posted a bond on his behalf to the court.  For us to do this posting of the bond we charged the customer $1000.  Our fee of $1000 is not refundable it is the cost we charge to perform the service.  The exoneration form that he has provided is the receipt from the court that the bond and case is over with.  Once a case is over with we never return the money the customer paid for our services as we are a business who relies on these fee's for the business income.  Unfortunately this customer is not willing to understand the basic concept of bail bonds and we have tried to explain it to him.

Review: Summary: I have been charged $1,000 for bail by Bail Bonds USA, but the defendant's charges were NOT bondable. Another reputable bail bonds company, [redacted] Bail Bond, did their due diligence by checking ALL charges against the defendant and informed me as such. Bail Bonds USA made no such efforts, and has failed to follow up with me after several attempts at contacting them to resolve this.

Times are approximate

Monday 3/23

0330 AM: I received a call from a loved one (the defendant) who is in jail and told me they have a bond of $10,000.

0400 AM: I called Bail Bonds USA and completed the process to post bond for the inmate using their website, submitting a [redacted] transaction for $1,000 from my checking account.

0800 AM: The defendant calls me again informing me that per her latest court hearing, she has charges against her that are NOT bondable, meaning she cannot be bonded out of jail.

1000 AM: I receive a call from [redacted] Bail Bond informing me that the defendant contacted them from jail in order to attempt to contact me to post bond for her. [redacted] Bail Bond informed me that due to charges against the defendant that are NOT bondable, she cannot be bonded out from jail.

I decide to wait to contact Bail Bonds USA until tomorrow in case something else changes in the next 24 hours with regard to the defendant’s charges.

Tuesday 3/24

1020 AM: As of this time, the charges are still not bondable, so I call Bail Bonds USA to cancel the bond process. The Bail Bonds USA representative replies stating that the bond was posted. I explain the NOT bondable nature of the defendant’s charges and that the defendant is still in jail, and am told that the bondsman will follow up with me.

It is on this day that my checking account is debited $1,000.00 by [redacted].

Wednesday 3/25

1100 AM: I call Bail Bonds USA informing them that I haven’t received a call from the bondsman and that I have been charged $1,000 for services not rendered. The Bail Bonds USA representative once again tells me that the bondsman will follow up with me.

Thursday 3/26

0900 AM: I once again call Bail Bonds USA informing them that I haven’t received a call from the bondsman. The Bail Bonds USA representative once again tells me that the bondsman will follow up with me.

Friday 3/27

1430-1500 PM: I attempt to reach Bail Bonds USA several times by phone and keep getting sent to a voicemail box. No message left.

I file complaints with [redacted] and Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $1,000

Review: I signed a legal contract with this company and the service was not provided due to false agreement, dishonesty.Management and workers weren't on the same page. I felt lead on with the process providing funds up front and personal ducuments.Management provided verbal agreement, legal contract signed dated to complete the process.1200 dollars and callable was provided upfront with a manager agreement 1300 paid next day.the bail bonds was agree to be completed at 9:30pm on 4/17/14. no bail bond was done. We agree to paid 1300 today 4/18/14 and they lied and took our money and had no excuse to why they would not take the payment to complete the transaction. Instead they took our money and put us in a bad situation and refuse to refund our money right away to give us the opportunity to used another business. because our money can't be refunding 2 to 3 weeks which we don't have time for.Dishonesty is not away to handle business. What ever reason they choose not to complete the business transaction base off the legal contract ( WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THE SAME DAYDesired Settlement: WE NEED OUR REFUND TODAY IN CASH!!!

Review: I was told on the phone by two different people that I would receive back the money paid over the %10 of the bail bond. I called Bail Bonds USA to inquire on how much was needed to bail out a friend. The bond was $1800.00. I was told that I needed $180.00 plus collateral. I let them know I did not have collateral so they said I would need some cash over the %10. I called back on 3 different occasions on the same day with different amounts that I was able to come up with. I was told that I would get the money back over the %10 each time. Finally I was able to put $500 total, knowing that the court date was within 2 weeks, I felt I would be ok to let that much in bill money go for that long. I called before I left home and again questioned how long it would be and what I needed to do to get the money over the %10 bond back. I was told that after the last court date to bring in the paper that I would receive from the court and the money would be released. I gave them my debit card, which they charged a $15 fee to take the money off the card. When the contract was written up I saw where the $320 plus $15 amounts were written. I was still under the understanding that I would get the $320 back after court. The bond was paid on February 19th and the court date was March 3rd which was attended and I received the paper needed to release the bond. I called and asked what was needed and when would I get the money back over the bond? They asked for my friends name, which I gave them. Then I was told to bring in the paper from the court and it would take 3 days to get a check which they would call me when the check was ready. I to the paper that was required and when I asked about the $320 I was told I would not get anything back because they were keeping in due to low collateral. WHAT?!?!?! I was not told that they were going to keep the money! If I would have known that, I would never have bailed the person out! The court date was about 2 weeks away and to give up that much money would have been stupid on my part since I didn't just have it laying around and had to put off paying some bills in order to give them that money! I had been told time and time again that I would get that money back! That is quite a scam they have going on when you don't have collateral. I WANT THE $320 BACK NOW!!!!!

I was told to fill out a form requesting the money back and the owner would review the forms and call me with a decision. I received a call but not from the owner. I was told that because I had low or no collateral that money was kept as a fee and as far as talking to the owner that was not going to happen because they had never seen the own,Desired Settlement: I want the money that I was told I would get back returned to me! If they are going to take cash and have no intentions of returning the money they need to make sure their intent is very clear to the consumer.

[redacted] was great. She was such a help, we were desperate and he got the job done for us FAST!

Review: Bailbonds USA has put a lien on my home. Several calls have been made to have lien released. They had not yet released lien. It is gross negligence at this point. Months have passed and they have not released lien. Bond requirements have been met and judge has exonerated bond.Desired Settlement: To have lien on home released immediately.

Issue has been resolved with this customer.

Excellent company and very reputable. thanks for their help

I attended this place to get help on getting a bond. I had to leave 20% of the bond in cash. I was told the process would take 24 hours. A week went by and they had not resolved anything. I called every day and I was always told that the bond would be posted that day and to call back later. Finally after a week they told me that they did not approve the bond and to go and get my 20% back. When I went to pick it up, the manager told me I could not have my 20% back until he called the IRS and reported me, because he felt that I was trying to scam the IRS out of their tax money. He wanted to hold my money for 2 weeks. He said "it's in our policy to report suspicions money to the IRS", I asked him to show me a copy of the policy and he refused. He said " I am the manager, what a say goes, there is no need for a policy". Not only did Bail Bonds USA lied to me every time I called, they also said I was an illegal, and I was trying to rob the United States out of their tax money.
