I have reviewed the information in Ms. [redacted] case. It is worth mentioning that her membership agreement clearly states the cancellation policy, however, the club has cancelled her membership. I am sending this email in regards to the letter we have received pertaining to the complaint of *** *** ***After close review of the account, it shows that *** electronically signed the agreement during her online signup, consenting and understanding that in order to cancel the
membership she would have to abide by the following cancellation procedure: "To cancel your monthly membership and stop the monthly billing on the 17th of the month, the club requires written notification by the 10th of the month delivered to the club in person or preferably via certified mail." This excerpt can be found on the fifth line of the attached agreementIn lieu of the situation, we will happily cancel the membership, effective today, 6/15/15, 2015, and she will no longer continue to be billedHowever, I will not be able to issue a refund due to the legitimacy of the agreement electronically signed by ***I apologize for any inconvenience this decision may causeIf there are any other questions, please feel free to contact me via email or phone. NO THAY DOES NOT BRING MY ACCOUNT UP TO DATE! I am a single mother in college and I need to pay my bills! I can't do that without a bank account and I don't have the extra funds to bring it current. I will be also posting all over social media about this now happening twice and the terrible service at planet fitness.
