To Whom It May Concern, Since October of 2013, we have decided not to accept personal checks as the payment to our servicesWe had a sign put on more than a year, and we personally notified to our customers when they come to pick up their clothesWe recently had our annual spring cleaning day and we decided to take down the sign because not one of our customers had any problems with our new policy for more than one year and a halfWe still accept the credit/debit card and cash.On 03/30/2015, the customer came to pick up her clothes around 5:20pm, it has been more than a year and half since she came to our storeWe informed her about the changes that we made to our store policy that we do not accept any personal checks as the payment to our service anymore, but we still accept the credit or debit card and cashThe customer then immediately became upset and started to yell and even cursed (“Ae") to our clerks and left our storeThe customer did not tell us about her special circumstances, if we have known then maybe we could have found some sort of solution to the problem by calling the owner about the special exceptionBut, we then hear nothing from the customer until we received the complained letter from your organization.We are sorry for the inconvenience that caused to the customer who complained, however, we cannot give any discount nor refund merchandise to the customer over this matterThe customer needs to pay the full amount of $33,either in cash or credit/debit card to pick up her clothesIf the customer does not have any credit card then she can use her bank debit card that comes together with the checking account that the customer wishes to write check with.If you have any questions, feel free to contact meRegards, Kevin K**, Owner/Manager

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
1) It is anti-consumer for Baileys
Cleaners not to post signage reflecting both the fact that Baileys Cleaners
does NOT ACCEPT CHECKS and also ONLY ACCEPTS CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS and CASH
I strongly recommend that Bailey's Cleaners **mediately adopt the practice
2) As stated in my
complaint, I had less than one dollar with me when I came to pick up my dry
cleaned clothes and I did not/do not have a credit card
3) To counter MrK**'s
suggestion to use a debit card - I do not own a debit card (and no, it is not
because of poor credit; quite the contrary, I have excellent credit)
4) I recommend that Mr
K** remember that not everyone enjoys his economic status5) MrK**'s clerk was adamant about not accepting checks
so I do not believe someone would have made an exception if I had told them
that I had planned to wear the dry cleaned clothes at my Mother's funeral
events 6) What is the point of notifying customers about payment options when they pick up their
dry cleaned items? That is after the factIt is too late7) Learning about MrK**'s anti-check policy at Bailey's Cleaners during the time I had expected to pick up my dry cleaned clothes caused me irreparable damage8) I shall always remember my 3-31-visit to Baileys Cleaners and will endeavor to let others know
