My name is Robert B***, and I am responding to complaint ***. On
September 4th 2014, *** Heating & Air put in a new Heat Pump at *** *** *** for *** ***. In order for her to be able to convert
from gas heat to a heat pump, her out door electrical panel had to be
replaced. We do not have a licensed electrician on staff, so we
hired Steel Electic to do the necessary electrical work. The job passed
both mechanical and electrical inspections by the city of High Point on
10/3/The install we did came with a one year labor and electrical
warranty. During the first year, there was a complaint about some
electrical issues. Steel Electric (not Bain) went out and found issues
with the indoor wiring which had nothing to do with the heat pump installation
The customer did not allow Steel Electric to perform the necessary indoor
wiring modifications. This was the last time we heard from the customer
until recentlyI have listed a few pertinent facts below:
1) The
month system and electrical warranty ran out in September
2) Ms
*** states that Beco puts the blame on *** Heating & Air.
We have talked to Beco also They told us the issues she was having had
nothing to do with the heat pump
3) The issue
at hand has nothing to do with the heat pump itself or any work *** did
*** takes no
responsibility for the wiring issues at Ms***'s house. We request
this case be closed and deleted from our file.

I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this because I was not saying my problems had anything to do with the heat pump itself, but the problem was the wiring when *** put in the ground wire, they wired it to the neutral wire in my meter box This caused an interuption in the flow of electricity coming into my house I have in writing from the Beco electrical contractor that states that this wiring was installed incorrectly That is what Beco repaired Again I love my heat pump, but the problem was with the wiring Sincerely, *** ***
I am rejecting this response because:I have never heard the name Steel Electic until now. If [redacted] subcontracted with this company Steel Electric I knew nothing about this. I have only dealt with [redacted]. I just want [redacted] to know I know they are not a reputiable company. I understand they think they did nothing wrong, but Beco Electrical and the city of High Point, as well as I, know they are wrong. I will make sure to let everyone know how they do not stand behind their work and to never use them. Thank you for trying to help but you cannot make someone be responsible for their actions or stand behind their work. A person or company needs to follow their concious and be honest when they make a mistake. It is only a $1500 dollar mistake, but their mistake none the less. And anyway if they say I did not do what this company Steel Electric said do, I am not an electrician and would not attempt to do anything dealing with electricity.

Once again we deny anything was wired incorrectly by [redacted] or Steel Electric.1) She did not make the repairs that Steel Electric told her needed to be done2)She was out of her electrical warranty3)Steel Electric and [redacted] deny any wrong doing in the electrical wiring whatsoever, being the heat pump or the ground wire issue. The city of high point looked and saw all electrical work and passed its inspection on the job done. All of steel electric and Bains work was done to code.
